I don't have enough knowledge to know if they have anyone better than current VP lined up, but feels like they need a wild card to ignite support.

Biden has endorsed her, which probably ends the contest.

He’s probably endorsed Reagan and Bush Sr as well since then though.

Stuff the bookies. She's a better candidate than Biden, even though Biden was a damn sight more effective and progressive than I had dared hope. She has baggage, but I choose to believe that most (a majority?) of people can put aside their subconscious racism/sexism and vote for the obviously less-abysmal option of two. Starmer the daylights out of Trump.

I'm sure I heard that, if it's Harris, she can spend the money raised for the Biden campaign, but any other candidate couldn't.

I suspect it's too late but was certainly the right thing to do. Why they havent spent the last 4 years positioning Harris for this election is an utter mystery to me

Makes sense if funds were raise specifically for a Biden Harris ticket. I guess. So one of them has to run or they have to start fundraising from scratch. Or something?
