Downside of these tickets is we can't wear club colours. They are in the forest side of the stadium though.

Surely wear a red top/jumper/hat just not with Forest branding on it.

It says no club colours... So I presume a red t-shirt would be a no no. I went for a subtle pin badge.

I am weirdly 'just another game' about this one. By any objective measure we probably should lose comfortably. But we won't, and could win.

Mentally it feels like a free roll.

The last 3 cup ties have been 2-2, 1-1 and 0-0. So clearly this will be minus 1 all. Forest on penalties. Again. It's what we do.

And presumably waxing the car before going on to win a local karate tournament as a complete wildcard?

So who had Abbott down to start?
Is this 3 at the back with Dominguez and Toff WBs? Or is Abbott playing RB? Surely not.

Just got the boy to choose today's tops, it's the latest one for me and the blue/green pinnacle number for him.

Now off to fight some fake scousers for control of the screens in my local.

Been held back as our secret weapon? Picked ahead of Moreno and Morato, both on the bench.

Had this discussion with one of my football friends on Tuesday night. One who actually knows football. We went through the possible solutions. Including three at the back, and the problems that might cause us elsewhere on the pitch.

The conclusion that we reached was toff as very much a withdrawn full back, and a decision to be made at right back (possibly reverting to the failed Dominguez experiment there).

I didn't have Abbot in the frame, but there is some sense in it with the options available. A four with Abbott at right back in possession, dropping to a three with Dominguez wide right in the low block.

Ola was training this week. Guess they felt it wasn't worth the shot with Bentford coming up. Abbott is going to have to do this trial by fire. I don't like the idea of having Doku up against him. Grealish he can just kick.

Well this is going to be interesting if nothing else. Maybe he can take good penalties...

    Chicago: Fingers crossed.
