Foxestalk have taken this well, with some hoping for a nuclear war with Russia.

Not as good as them winning the title anyway...

Definitely by the early 90s it was a trope that Forest wouldn't shut up about the European cups. Their title was nearly 10 years ago.

3rd place + FA Cup. Where would that put this season in the pantheon of smaller clubs?

Pretty sure no club from outside the big 6 has made the top three since Leicester. Before them … must be someone since Leeds in 2000?

#mediabias Yapping on about Bright Town, 1:30 in has to look at his notes to name the Forest captain.

Just a space-filling word salad really. Describing the shoot-out as a 'lottery' but then going on to explain the obvious preparation carried out by the Forest coaching staff for the goalkeepers was amusing, if predictable.

Seeing as 94/95 seems the obvious comparison for this season, I went back and checked how we did in the FA Cup that year.

Beat Plymouth at home 2-0 in round three (Gemmill, Collymore) to set up another home tie against Crystal Palace in round four, which we lost 2-1 (goal from Bohinen).

I sort of assume that everyone does about the same preparation (at least premier league clubs, I'd guess Exeter don't have the same level of analysis available), but it still comes down to the ability to execute under pressure, such is what good players do. When Hinshelwood took their third (best practice is to go in ranked order), I thought we stood a pretty good chance.

I must say that when Tricky asked who would you choose for our penalties that I'd forgotten Anderson and Milenkovic had both taken penalties previously. I guess when you've had as many as we've had it's hard to remember all of them. 4 shoot outs in one season, by Crowded Fixture Schedule.

Agreed, but it's still daft (and lazy) to still be describing the shoot-out as a 'lottery' like people were 20-30 years ago when no side seemingly prepared for them in any way.

Winning three on the trot doesn't seem like a lottery. It feels like we are good at them.

It’s a lottery when you lose. But when you play Germany, they always win.

    Obviously.

Well that’s the worst draw we could have got. At least it means Moreno can deputise for Neco.

As of now, Man City are clear favourites to win the cup (2/1) - that seems incredibly disrespectful to Bournemouth (13/2), let alone us (9/2).
