I would have thought someone would have jumped on a cup thread to give me a break from stressing about the premier league but I guess not you lazy sods.

I hope we play our First team fringe players like Sosa, Jota, Taiwo (sorry big fellow), Omo, Boly, Morato. Toffs (Maybe Moreno) and Moreira. All gave a good account of themselves against the Geordies in the League Cup. (or what ever the fuck the thing is called nowadays..)..

No idea if there will be any television coverage anywhere in the world but it might be nice to see those boys in action...

Poo-ton are without the dreamy Rob Edwards now and I doubt that they will be able to bully Morato if he is the centre back.

Danilo will be making an appearance which is very exciting but from the bench as he is not quite ready for heavy minutes, so I am guessing our Ryan and maybe Gardner with a dose of JWP, leaving the big guns on the bench if we need them.

Stretch the legs of the squad members and give the boys a bit of a rest to take on the scouse scum on Tuesday... Win win...errr even if we don't win... (which I think we will..) 2-0. (Taiwo x2)

Chicago: Already Looking forward to that rainy night in Millwall.

Edit: oooooh I forgot Miquel. Want to see that giant dinosaur stretch his arms!

We'll let you off if you get this one wrong as long as you stick it to the scouse on Tuesday. Actually I agree with 2-0 so it's bound to be wrong.

All digital tickets, so best to set off early if you want to see the kick off.

When they say digital you can still print them off? Which seems less digital than normal to me.

No, they're scanned from your phone so can't be transferred.

    Oh. Fair enough.

Then no, not really digital. That's 'print at home' to me.

To be fair there are links to put in phone wallet which I've also done, but I was expecting (like you) that to be the only thing you could do.

It's always bedlam outside with cup matches when loads of non-regulars turn up. It's going to be twice as bad as normal tomorrow with digital tickets.

I'm writing this from the queue outside the Clough upper. It's already out of the car park.

So Nuno doesn't look at league tables, so he doesn't know we're 6 points behind, Liverpool and doesn't look beyond the next game, so doesn't even know we've got Liverpool on Tuesday.

I'm expecting a full strength team.

    (I'm not.)

    I’d expect something like

    Carlos

    Da Silva Moria
    Toff
    Boly
    Morata
    Abbott

    Sosa
    Ward-Prowse
    Jota
    Yates

    Taiwo

Presuming Ward-Prowse's involvement may depend on whether the club are looking to keep him for the second half of the season or send him back to free up a loan - if indeed that's permissible under the terms of the deal.

Surely no point him getting cup-tied in such a non-descript game if the former.

He's already played for West Ham. He'll be here for the season unless Potter really wants him and I doubt being cup tied would be a significant factor.

It’s on ESPN+ in the US (at least it’s supposed to be).
    For future reference

It occurred to me the other day that if we need/want to free up a loan spot, the likeliest move might be to sign Moreno permanently.
