I bet they didn’t have to wait for two hours to get out of the ground, either.

On the game, positives were Hutchinson and Cunha. CHO scoring is always good for his confidence and Ola Loomed good. They sai, Cunha backed off their player for the fist goal and let him run and gave away the penalty (I know it was soft). But he’s pacy and not afraid to lump it when required.

If Anderson is made to play with anyone other than Sangare and MGW, it’s almost like he tries to do too much.

I know I’m a hater, but Yates was truly awful. And I have no words for Lucca. I think he is one of the worst players I’ve seen at the WFCG in 50 years of going. So we effectively played the first half 9 v 11

If Savona is injured, can’t we replace with Netz?
    Any update on Ortega?

So under no4 manager, its 1 win and 2 defeats so far. I am not sure that meets the conditions of a bounce. The fans I know are going through mental contortions to fit their own narratives on the season - Dyche bad, cos although points per match improved, performances were unacceptable, bloke no4 good cos performances have improved but points havent, or the reverse of that depending on how you feel about sacking Dyche.
Bottom line for me: first team is competitive, any deviation from strongest 11 means a defeat. We spent big and failed to provide any squad depth, and most criminal of all, we haven't even come remotely close to fixing the goalscoring problem.
I cant wait for this season to end, its been utterly shit from pre season to now

Not in Europe - he isn't in the squad.

I think Cunha backed off their player a bit for the first goal because he had two players to deal with - I just thought it was a case of trying to slow it up a bit and hope a teammate would get back and help (which Neco nearly did).

edit - in response to Guru.

Radio Four reporting this morning that both clubs are facing possible sanction for Fenerbahçe fans throwing fireworks on to the pitch. I missed the first half last night so didn't see this.

There's photos on the social of lots of damaged seats in the away end as well - looks like the club will have a bit of work to do before the fulham game.

Fair enough. I thought load game awareness was pretty good.

Special mention for how bad Murillo was at LB. A combination of clueless, showboating and an inability to pass to a red shirt made for compelling viewing. In a car crash way.

We should be fucking sanctioned for the piss poor searching that must've gone on when you knew they would want to bring flares in.

I wasn't even allowed to take money or a wallet into their ground, yet we wave then through with pockets full of flares.

I never did work out where they were hiding those great big fucking flares.

    Quite.

I didn't see much, but on what I saw my takeaway was that Sangare is looking the real deal now.

I thought Cunha defended the 2 on 1 pretty well. He could have got closer, but he shut the angles down effectively and killed the time enabling support to get back. But Neco fell over trying to intercept over getting ahead of his man.
And Murillo gave the space in the first place.

On one of the replays, with Neco on the ground, it did look like he stretched his arm out to try and stop the shot going in. Which would really have fucked us up.

I think that and copying the phone lights thing was just relief that we had, more or less, killed a tie that looked like it might be going badly wrong.

There appeared to be a block of away supporters in the back of the Main Stand last night (the phone lights brought them to my attention).
