Has to be said, for all our talk about a more restrained window, we’ve still signed 11 players, which is one of the highest in the division (only Chelsea, Ipswich and Southampton, by my reckoning).

And I'm not sure how many teams in the nominal bottom third or even half have a second player in each position as close in quality to the first.

Ipswich and Southampton have both spent more than £100m this summer apparently, and Lestoh around £75m. Nobody seems to be talking about this, though.
I suspect with Forest it was more the number of players through the door that elevated the news value.
