So what broke football in the last 30 months. Or are you just jaded about your team being in the Premier league?

Your question contains an idiotic assumption that doesn't apply. So let me not answer it.

Football has always had sub optimal things about it. Sometimes an individual thing becomes a deal breaker (the leed fans behaviour after the European final in the seventies, Derek Pavis owning notts, are just two examples of 'she cut her hair' moments in my immediate family), more often it's a combination of things, or a personal transition.

Since the circumvention of collective governance of English football, at the advent of the 'ship, it's been growing and also dying. The opposite of levelling up, an erosion of competition, fairness, and a pre eminence of the haves over the have nots. The balletfication and muddle of what was a simple and physical game, to a complicated arcane exhibition of 'we have more than you, and you can't touch us'.

The SSC thing had no fucking chance of happening, and was achieved through football things. Predominantly. A miracle.

It wasn't that anything since has quantum level happened to have me change state. It's more that the miracle of promotion temporarily lured me back in. To a tiny localised degree.

The way I see it, lots of things, about football and plenty of other stuff, seem to have got demonstrably worse over the years. But I'm wary of the fact everyone thinks things were better when they were younger.

If you watch the film of the 1966 world cup, Brian Glanville(?) spends most of it complaining how shit and boring football is "nowadays". Yet when I was growing up, I was told that was the golden age...

The physical and technical standards of modern players are light years ahead of where they were. It's the framework of competition, the laws, the refereeing, and the ownership models that are not.

The speed of the game, and any touch being a foul, causes a real problem to the competitive dynamics of the game. Especially when the big brands get the rub of the refereeing green.

Bloke from The Times says that Liverpool have rejected a bid from us for Caoimhin Kelleher.

The scouse Athletic reporter said we offered cash and Turner.

Maybe trying our luck after getting rid of the Greek to Newcastle

Does suggest they aren’t happy with Sels or Miguel as number 1. Saw a link with Neto earlier - you could see him as third choice.

JWP rumours seem to starting again. Still not 100% on this one, but at least we'll beat the first man with a corner occasionally.

I don't like signing JWP unless it's a loan without obligation. And even then...

JWP is a top quality ball-player with tonnes of premier league experienced and we aren't overwhelmed with those.

Kelleher to us is predictable, which is how I predicted it, and although not a player I know masses about if we manage to do any deal which has Turner going to Liverpool that can only be fantastic for him and for us and I would laugh so hard I'd

Sosa demonstrated the ability to do that as well as actually run. I didn't want Ward-Prowse before last night and I want him even less now.

JWP gets the here we go from Fabrizio.

    I have a similar opinion to @Russ - but it's thankfully only a loan.

Also Morato from Benfica. I doubt we even need to google to find who his agent is.

Think he might win most tattoos in the squad competition.

He's a defender. Fuck knows where we are expecting him to play. Do we even have space in the squad??

Morato, some defender from Benfica also get the HWG. Think that gets our squad up to 25. Left footed centre-back/left back. Wonder when Harry Toffolo is going to find out he's going to spend the next year in Piraeus?

Nah. That's surely not happening. There's been no sounds about it at all.

    Famous last words.
