One thing I'm fairly confident of is, if our squad stays as it is now or doesn't get any worse, it looks quite a bit better than it was this time last year or the year before in terms of overall quality and experience. A full-back or two (depending on how good Eric is, but early signs are promising despite his age), a striker and a winger and we'd be looking very good on paper.

Actually he sounds too good for Oly. Came up from their second tier, had a great season and got into Primera league team of year scoring 15 goals from the wing in league and Cup, and got a call up to the Portugal national side (although doesn't appear he made the cut for their Euro squad).

I'm uneasy about the jibes around Taiwo's availability, there could be any number of really good reasons unrelated to physical injuries which it's not appropriate for the club to advertise which amount to a good reason for his absence/light duties (terminally ill family member, wife having a miscarriage, some sort of mental health issue).
