£33m for a Newcastle player I've never heard of. This league is a joke.

Expect he'll be sold to Chelsea for 100M I'm about 15 months then.

Elanga has shown he can finish. And at 22 years old I don't really think we need to worry about him losing his speed any time soon.

He’s all of 4 months younger than CHO. And it’s not as though Callum’s finishing is too shabby.

In pure spreadsheet terms I agree CHO is likely to realise us more profit (even allowing for sell-on clauses to Chelsea). But as a footballer Hudson-Odoi is superior. Don’t get me wrong; ideally I’d like to keep them both. But if it’s only one, it’s Bismarck’s lad for me

Brighton had a 33M offer accepted for Minteh, so I'm guessing Elanga is staying.

I have changed my mind. If Brighton are buying him then he is probably very good.

Apparently Newcastle still need another 18 million profit so maybe tee hee time. The Saudi doping humanitarian cunts deserve it but it’s likely they will sell someone like Wilson to the Middle East for Squillions.

    Chicago: Data chaser.

Now it’s possible we just bid 10 million for Anderson and nothing in return. Apparently Amortization would only include one day so bugger all on PSR.

If we get him and keep Elanga that would be a nice deal.

Ornstein is the one who is reporting it. If Elanga goes in the other direction then it wouldn’t make sense as we would lose on PSR if we bought him from the scum for 15 million.

Do we have Newcastle’s pants down?

    Interesting.

    Chicago: Intrigued.

Ornstein says we have agreed s deal to buy Anderson. Doesn't say how much.

    Presumably a lot of Anderson's

Well it would only make sense if we were realising a profit. After all.. if he’s done well enough in a season to be wanted by a top 10 club, his value has increased. If both clubs need a bit of FFP help and are up for shenanigans, it wouldn’t hurt to fluff up the valuations of both players a bit.. but there would still presumably be a net transfer of cash to Forest that represents Elanga being the more valuable player that, objectively speaking, he is.

It didn't mention Elanga going too. Seemed to imply a straight purchase

£10 million according to twitter. Newcastle fans appear to think it is daylight robbery.

Listening to the FF podcast it sounds like he is more a 10. So maybe he will be a relatively cheap MGW cover option, with the possibility to take over if he does well and we need to sell next year.

But also cover/replacement for CHO on the left?

I read Charlie's post as that Newcastle fans felt the figure was well below his market value. He looks quite a large, physical type of player - Ross Barkley's sort of physique.
