Niakate has always been fairly underwhelming. If that sale allows us to meet the PSR then it’s a no brainer. Get it done.

28, so essentially at his peak in terms of performance and value. He’ll have lucrative options next summer so if there is decent interest it’s a deal that any sensible strategy says we should do. Definitely a spreadsheet deal, though even before FFP the notion of buying players able to increase in value.. and then realising such increases at the right time.. was one we used to suggest might be better than whatever the fuck Forest had been doing since forever.
I would like us to be in a position whereby we can hold out for a weighty valuation of Murillo or roll the dice and keep him for another year. If he goes somewhere boring like Chelsea for £50m it will make me sad. Let’s enjoy him for another season and sell him to Real Madrid for twice that.

Apparently there’s the option of a further year with Niakate, which will help with getting a decent fee.

If the outcome of selling Moussa is that I get at least a few more months of watching Murillo, I'll be quite happy. I fear it is going to be another difficult season, and he's one of the few that is really worth watching.

I don’t think Niakhaté is rubbish, but if selling him either means we keep Murillo or (more likely) means that we at least get a genuinely good fee for him, it’s a no-brainer.

To who? As others have said it's a much more palatable deal than selling Murillo, but for 20M that seems like a blinding piece of business. He's good but he's not that good.

Sure, but the immediate issue is to avoid any more nonsense with points deductions. If we can achieve that by Sunday, there are then 2 more months for the club to sort out which players they actually want to sell / sign; the window doesn’t shut until 28 August

This would be very good. Good player and nice guy but injuries have been a problem and we've never really seem the best of him and therefore he won't leave a big hole. Shame because when he was doing those long throws they were a weapon! But I think that stopped because of some shoulder issue. Also capable of the odd cock up.
