If we'd been playing Man U in the league that day that would've been the team. They were the players available.

Based on what? I doubt Worrall and Vlachodimos would have started.

    Who's in place of Worrall?

McKenna, the young lad from Norwich?

I guess we'll find out against Brentford. I doubt Vlach will start though or that Gardner, Osong or Aguilera will be on the bench.

Not getting away with that, you said you doubted Nuno would've picked Worral if a league game, so who do you think he would've picked?

I don't know I'm not Nuno but I think Worrall's lack of first team training and matches recently would make him an undesirable option for a premier league game. Not looking for a fight with you about it though, apologies. The original point I was making was about Mangala and how I think it's a bit premature to think Nuno has written him off after 3 league games and 1 Cup game, games in which he has been in the squad and had some minutes and how the squad selected for the cup game against a
league 2 side doesn't necessarily represent the strongest squad possible.

Someone is clearly putting these stories about him leaving out there though so maybe there is something in it. If he doesn’t go we will get a better idea in the next run if games when Sangare isn't available the extent to which Nuno does or doesn't like him, unless there's some ongoing fitness or fatigue issue (he could be forgiven for deserving a rest given how much he's played this season before the last 3 games.

Mangala has played 49 games for the club. It’s entirely possible that his next appearance triggers a payment that the club don’t want to make, if Nuno isn’t sure.

It's all getting tight at the bottom of the balance sheet.

Anyone would think the owner and his son’s approach of signing anyone they’d heard of and expecting the coach to work miracles with a bloated squad was not the best idea…

At least it will be interesting to see how good Nuno is with change management, once the initial adrenaline wears off.

Gonna depend who Mendes tells us to sign. It’s not a strategy I’m a fan of.

Or perhaps just management rather than change management. If management general isn't the art of deciding upon and overseeing changes in an organisation then I'd like to know what is it?

My troll alarm just went off. Que passe?

I wasn't challenging you big man, I just get irked by the terminology. The kind of thing which has kept generations of consultants in work but which substantively means nothing new.

Well it doesn't if you are determined not to understand it. It's firmly in not my problem, but yours. I doubt there are many people who don't understand the distinction.

Including you. Which is why it's trolling.

Alright sorry. I don't understand it and you haven't explained it but new for 2024 is I'm going to avoid futile arguments with the Internet so happy to take it that you're right and I'm wrong.
