Seems to have played 17 times since joining them in the summer. I don't know much about that league, but that sounds like he's played most of the games that the club have played? He scored a hat-trick in his first game then none since.
He's managed to play 4 times for Cardiff this season because he couldn't get in the team ahead of Goutas and McGuinness, the two centre-halves that have been starting (no me neither). He hasn't been injured, he just isn't good enough to beat either of them out, and if he can't get a start for the team currently 9th in the Championship he doesn't belong anywhere near a Premier League team. He's 23 years old and he has been playing senior football for 5 years now, there probably isn't much more potential to be realised. He is what he is, and what he is is clearly not good enough.
Or he isn't sufficiently better. It's not really possible to argue he should be a first choice Prem defender, but as a squad option for a couple of games when we need to somewhat sensible with money...
I'm not 100% convinced Joe will have a career at a non-Nottingham club. Sometimes it doesn't work elsewhere.
You can see why Leicester might be interested, though. After the last time they signed an underappreciated local centre half from us worked out quite well for them.
There's a good chance that Worrall at somewhere else (probably top of championship) becomes a bigger player - transferring away from the club where you've grown up can do that. In the same way that Gibbs-White would never have become the main man at Wolves as he is here.
It would be a bold move to sign a player from a team based on one you’ve signed previously doing well.
I might understand Leicester going for him if they were staying in the champ (although I’d probably just play Souttar) but not when they will be in the PL next year.
However if that’s the calibre of player they will be going for then that’s great as their stay will be short lived.
