Presumably they think that's an upgrade for them... Sa is only 30 though, same age as Johnstone and both are in their prime really, so I'm a bit surprised they're willing to move him on, wonder if there's more to it. Doubt he'd come cheap but feels like a position we may need to spend big on.

I hadn't forgotten him, and would likewise like to know why we let a now French international slip through our fingers. It's done now, but your point is well taken.
That said, we recruited better keepers in 2022/3 than we were able to in the most recent window. So there's a more recent fuck up which also needs looking at.

Well it wouldn't have helped him being on a quarter of what Horvath came in on, with no prospect of even a discussion of a pay rise.

I've no reason to think you've made that up, and assuming it is true, it's baffling on all sorts of levels.

I don't think there is adequate football expertise in our price setting value judgements. That might explain it in part. Think it was four something, versus 20k.
