No idea what his metrics are. Defensive midfielder. When he looked good in his first season Soton were interested as a Lavia replacement, apparently. But then he tailed off.
So, latest seems to be that Forest are hoping the thing they weren't allowed to do last time (try to sell someone but doesn't go through until after the deadline) will be allowed this time
Sounds like hooey to me. I think we sell the training ground to Maritme holding company and make a profit. I cannot for the life of me think that the PL would give us a break. Looks at Chelsea, Villa, Everton and Newcastle. Cheating like fuck to avoid this. Might as well join the band. Or Murillo has been sold which makes me sad.
I've heard a similar whisper. Also a rumour of a 20m bid for Gnonto, which seems completely made-up.
Equally, there's a week to go until the accounting deadline and a lot can happen in a week (witness Forest on deadline day), although any exit talk is pretty quiet.
There's a bit of brinksmanship as well, like around deadline day, of clubs trying to get the best deal/players on the cheap because they know Forest's predicament.
Murillo has also done an interview admitting interest from England, Spain and either Germany or Italy and it's with his agent/Forest for discussions, but he's equally happy to stay.
Nottingham Forest hope to get round a points penalty for over-spending by AGREEING deals for a handful of players.
Forest do not expect to sell many before the end of the month but are relying on showing the Premier League that they are in the process of letting several go.
Forest suffered a deduction last season because they sold Brennan Johnson to Tottenham after the cut off point for their financial assessment.
However Forest believe they have proof they are trying to move out the likes of keeper Matt Turner, centre half Joe Worrall and midfielder Lewis O’Brien.
Deals for those players are unlikely to be done in the next week but an email trail will confirm interest from several parties and that MAY be enough.
American keeper Turner wanted by a couple of clubs in Europe while Worrall is clear to speak to Sheffield United and Coventry. Both would raise fees to help to balance the books.
In Worrall’s case the Blades move cannot happen until they have completed a takeover, a factor outside their control. Coventry are keen on a loan but that does not work just now.
It means we didn't need to leave it until the last minute (except a relegation battle kind of meant we did), so choosing brinkmanship on our PSR commitments is a decision we took, rather than an inevitability.
