Who is going to spend anything on two keepers on big wages who have looked terrible for the last 12 months? Those two will be sold at a loss as we were plainly robbed. Make more sense to loan them and hope they can demonstrate worth in a shitter league. Vlach to Olympiakos is plausible as their number 1 is knocking on a bit and their other keepers are young. We are trying to pimp Turner out to MLS but he damaged his prospects the other night by playing for USMNT as they got walloped for 5 by Colombia and he got his head stuck in his ass for 3 of the goals, like he does. He even said sorry this time. Worrall we may get £2M to £5M for. LoB if fit maybe a couple.
Yates is certainly a player who would attract a decent fee. I would think more than £15M. His is the kind of departure which might surprise us too, in the way Johnson and Mangala did (at least before the rumours started). As to who might want him, he's not going to attract the top 8 in the way Murillo or MGW will, but I could see West Ham, Palace, Wolves Everton being interested or there being interest from decent clubs abroad.
In a neat (or not) crossover with the ex-Reds thread, Super Sammy Surridge has just got engaged after proposing to, presumably, his girlfriend on Palm Beach.
And Nic Ioannou celebrated his first wedding anniversary yesterday.
Just had a thought. I heard CHO had a 50% sell on fee.
Well, Chelsea buy him for £100 million on a 5 year contract. We get £50 million, they get £50 million with only £20 million amortized in year 1. Everybody is quids in.
I thought he was off to Cov. He's good and can improve, but I wouldn't have thought he'd be near Prem quality.
But Chris Wood ought to know better, I suppose.
