I dunno if it's just me, but it feels like there's scope for someone to put together a PSR tracker kind of website, where the author crowd sources / estimates the situation each PL club is in, and presents the data with some nice dashboards. It's been bouncing in my head for a while.

I just thought about it again right now as surely we aren't the only club that might have to do a mini fire sale before 1 July - but I've no idea where to start looking for the approximate figures of all the other PL clubs.

I think you'd struggle to quantify historic ffp losses (as opposed to actual losses) for any team other than us and Everton where our verdicts spell them out explicitly.

And Chelsea's financials are clearly impenetrable.

Isn't it doable from the accounts?

Not really, as you can't see what the non football, women's football costs etc are.

Also I would imagine that you would be at risk of being sued

Nobody is buying Worrall for £15m in this dimension. We'd be lucky to get 5.

The point is we both overpay to help the short term PSR.

I'm not sure £20m would be overpaying for Ampadu. And I think he's better than net £5m on Worrall.

In an ideal world you might well have governance/regulation that required a degree of transparency of cost/amortization over and above business accounting rules. It's really only this sort of public transparency that would allow for the sort of scrutiny that was able to head off clubs being leveraged into debt, and risking administration. After all these are community sporting institutions - not venture capitalists, or banks (which could definitely do with a lot more scrutiny and regulation anyway). Unfortunately what we have is the premier league, and the F.A.. Which might as well be called the Sweet F.A. when it comes to discussing how much actual use they are.

Squad list on the OS has been updated.

    www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/teams

We have 21 senior players. None of the returning loan players seem like they're likely to stay with Forest next season; Mangala and Worrall should realise us a profit, potentially enough to bridge the PSR gap (8M for Mangala, 5-8M for Worrall). A few others are either end of contract (McKenna, Mbe Soh) or likely to be allowed to walk for free (Panzo, Mighten). That leaves us with the following players who are still under contract, and whose market value is probably lower than their remaining unamortized purchase cost:

    Hwang Ui-Jo
    Lewis O'Brien
    Josh Bowler
    Brandon Aguilera
    Emmanuel Dennis
    Omar Richards

I have no idea what we'll do with any of those, bar someone offering a fee that covers the remaining amortization.

Doesn't seem like a huge surprise given he's 23 and hasn't been able to make it into the squad.

It surprised me but doesn't. Looked to have some talent but I didn't really pay enough attention to make a realistic judgement

You see what Konaté does in the academy highlights and it's clear he has talent.

Be interesting to see where he pitches up next and how he does there, to get an idea of what his true level is. He didn't pull up any trees in his one loan spell, as far as I recall.

No, he struggled at Oxford for playing time. Not sure of the exact reasons.
He's had a couple of lengthy lay-offs over the last few years at Forest which clearly affected his development, but he has been excellent this season. He's incredibly talented, but is 23, so this is the best move for everyone.

Apparently the most recent academy graduate to feature in the league for Forest - back in January 2022 against Barnsley.
(Abbott, Taylor, Osong, Gardner have all featured in cup games)

Also saw that Man U's goalscorers in the FA Cup final both featured in the youth cup final two years ago, when Man U beat Forest 3-1 (Garnacho scored two of them).
Forest's team that day: 1. Aaron Bott, 2. Zach Abbott, 3. Kyle McAdam, 4. Ben Hammond, 5. Pharrell Johnson, 6. Justin Hanks (Joe Gardner, 81), 7. Joshua Powell, 8. Jamie McDonnell (Aaron Korpal 90+1), 9. Detlef Esapa-Osong, 10. Dale Taylor, 11. Sam Collins (Ben Perry, 73)
Subs not used: 12. Alex Akers (GK), 14. Jack Perkins, 15. Jack Thompson, 17. Jack Nadin.
Most still at the club as the B team in the season just finished - Johnson was released to join Swindon in January and made his debut immediately, but barely featured since. Korpal (Sherwood Colliery) and Akers (Matlock) both released at least a year ago.

Does this all coincide with Gary Brazil leaving?
