I think it would. I’ve read that Taiwo is home grown even though he spent those Liverpool years on loan across Europe.

They are pushing him out in front of the cameras a lot if they're expecting him to be a Bowler/Hwang-alike signing who never plays for us. I think he's going to get involved.
We’ve only signed three(?) players this window, got to give the media team something to do.
What's the significance of being home grown?
Of your 25 man squad, you can only have a maximum of 17 who aren't home grown, so home grown players carry a premium.
I've been reading the Strasbourg forum in French and the consensus there seems to be Sels didn't put a foot wrong in 6 years, was a good captain and they are gutted. Quite different to what Newcastle fans say.
Joe Worrall pictured in Turkey in a Besiktas scarf.
Very sad. This more than anything is what soured me on Cooper; from Joe's imperious performance against Chelsea at the beginning of the season, to training with the U23s two months later. Just didn't need to happen.
Is this a reasonable reaction? Whatever it is that has, or hasn't, been done the removal of cooper hasn't changed the narrative arc one bit. So presumably cooper is not at the root of it?
Imperious is a bit of a stretch. He was good that day, but everyone was.
He's a decent defender, and full of heart, but he's limited, a bit naive sometimes and he gets caught out. Not currently reliable enough to play at this level and may never be and two good managers clearly agree on that. But a great championship captain. I wish him well and maybe we'll see him again some day.
No, but the treatment of the club captain was the first time that my faith in Cooper as a masterful leader was challenged.
Maybe he deserved it by being a mardy twat about something. I am sure Cooper had a reason. Either way it’s unlikely we will ever know.
Nuno hasn’t exactly welcomed him back into the team with open arms. Hence he is buggering off to Turkey for a while to be pelted with missiles.
Andrew ambidongowhatsis is better Anyway. I don’t think he has done much wrong.
Liked the rut of the jib of Riberio. Looks a pacey young lad. Hopefully we see how he does in Callum’s absence. (Reyna will probably play instead but the hype machine starts here!)
Chicago: Looking for positives.
Joe's not quite good enough for the prem, but don't think he serves the hate he is getting from the 'fan'base.
There were times in Championship when it seemed he could have left and those same fans were desperate for him to stay.

Is he though?
I agree he hasn't done much wrong, but he hasn't really done anything. He's perfectly adequate, but tbh, he just reminds me of Worrall. Solid enough centre half, but just a bit meh. Not seen anything to say he's much better than Worrall at x or y etc. He certainly passes sideways repeatedly just as well.
If anything he lacks Joe's leadership and I'd say Joe's probably better in the air.
He doesn’t make mistakes. So there’s that.
He is pacier so there is that. He can get forward and had a chance so there’s that.
I like him.
Chicago: Liking a fellow Andrew.
Faster, stronger, younger, less error-proned less sulky. Better.
