Maybe Oly could sub-let him to us.

Antonis, greek journo who had the inside line for a bit, just tweeted, translated as below.
"It's over for Scarpa at Atlético Mineiro. 5M the purchase from Nottingham (he had signed as a free agent exactly one year ago), four years himself."
Well, I’m glad he cleared that up,
From Fabrizio Romano:
“Nottingham Forest have accepted bid in excess of €5m for Gustavo Scarpa to join Atletico Mineiro.
Personal terms agreed and documents being exchanged soon.”
That seems like not a terrible piece of business by us. Signed on a free, even if we paid him 60 grand a week including during his loan, and even after you add extra for agent fees and whatever else, we still got to have the Brazilian player of the year on an extended trial for free.
While true, I'm still sad about the whole thing. We never played a system that would have remotely suited him, unless MGW got injured.
Talented but not physically up to the level.
Regarding the business, it depends slightly on how much of that transfer fee we’ve had to give him in lieu of the last 2.5 years of his contract. Because his wages are certainly going to be less in Brazil.

I really don't think that was ever tested to be honest. Plus there's countless examples of players needing a little while to adjust, which he was never given.
Early links to former Celtic winger Jota (Portuguese, Mendes client), and PSG striker Goncalo Ramos (Portuguese, Mendes client, possibly available on loan ahead of the Euros)
We are going to get a steady line of Mendes clients. Ramos to be fair is pretty decent and spam Utd and PSG were interested. Getting him on loan would be lovely.
The Scarpa thing makes me sad. Eccentric, fabulous hair. Flair. Not given much of a chance. Cooper out! The Greeks are selling him back to Brazil? Maranakis out!
I would have proposed a swap for Leonardo then I would be happy with another cult hero but alas only filthy lucre works nowadays….
Chicago: Feeling similar to Geddy day.
For God's sake chic, don't see the video of him drumming to some metal on Instagram. It'll finish you.
Just turned on the world club final to see Nino - whom we've been heavily linked with on the Twatter - deflect a Foden cross expertly into his own net.
Oooh! We need a finisher.
I guess we're unlikely to find a proven goalscorer at Prem level in January. Ramos is undoubtedly talented, be interesting to see if he could hit the ground running in a bottom half team (if he comes, which he won't).
I wonder what Sam Surrige is doing? Is he under the patio?

Pretty popular with the Nashville fans. He's 25 years old, well paid, single, and living in one of the great party cities of the US. I imagine it would take a pretty hefty offer to get him remotely interested in a return to England.
