I’d assumed it was more a case of Mendes telling us that we have to take him if we want a chance of getting any of the players that we do want.
Football is fucked.

Yeah. Accountancy is thriving though!
I wonder how much he cost, and when we will move him on without any game time?
Sshhh. Just watch the unveiling video, read the excited tweet from Marinakis junior and don’t ask any difficult questions.
Romano has now given the HWG to Navas returning on loan until the end of the season.
Not that I can see on his timeline. (Navas is injured, isn't he?)
Ignore me. Someone had reposted last year's tweet on the Twatter and I'd not noticed the date. As you were.
May need to check some dates there
Don't forget to reply to Marinakis jr's Tweet, declaring your undying love and gratitude for giving our club such a wondrous gift.
Dorsett talking up Sam Johnstone to Forest. Is he really England's second choice? Weird that Palace prefer Hendo, if that's the case. (I know, opinions are allowed to differ.)
Signing Johnstone on a permanent deal would see us ending up with three second choice keepers for an outlay of around £30m…
Of course. How insubordinate of me.

I know everyone loves a bit of a xg so, for comparison, in terms of Post Shot xG - Goals against per 90 minutes in this season's premier league, Vlachodimos is -0.83 (he's conceded 12 from a PSxg of 7.9), Turner is -0.37 (28 from 21.7) and Johnstone is -.0.28 (22 from 16.5).
To give an idea of the scale, Dubravka is top at +0.39, Flekken last on -0.48 (there must be a minimum appearances when you sort by that measure).
Vlachodimos, despite having the most clean sheets in the portugese top division last season, was near the bottom of that list as well.
This is so old skool. Saving shots is not really part of the requirements of a modern keeper.

I like it when they try though.
Johnstone is much better than Turner or Vlach.
