Found myself musing about buying Delap while watching the game just now. It's a funny situation if, as reported, City have a buy back option. The agreed fee is meant to be around the £30m mark. So if we're offering anything more than that, which may well be needed, then City may as well immediately buy him back and sell him straight to us. It's complicated, and I think for that reason I'd look abroad instead.

You're paying a premium for him right now.

Maybe he's worth it but it doesn't feel like he fits our recent model (in the way that the Man City kid does).

I think I'd be more tempted to give Big T some love, and get him back to form. I've been watching Delap and I'm far from convinced for what he'd cost.

There is no mention of Delap to Forest at all. And besides you are all on the wrong Transfer thread. Mcattee is where MGW was with Sheff Utd. Bags of potential. Very good skill level. Probably when he is older a very very good player. He might possibly be the next Cole Palmer. The question is: Is he worth the shot now or in the summer?

As for the forward, the bloke at PSG is very good but very expensive. Not as expensive as the bloke I speculated on in the other transfer thread but probably out of our price range. In other mental news Barcelona have lost an appeal to register Danny Olmo for January on and could be available for free. Come on.. Now that is worth a gander...

Chicago: Sodding off to the other transfer thread with big striker speculation..

    Let’s buy him!

Against the run of play as well. Lovely bit of skill to skin the left back.

BBC linking Aina with Man City as a replacement for Walker.

Would be a strange choice with the age profile of their existing squad. He’s already 28, so moving out of his peak years.

I think Aina is going to have some glamour club options all over Europe, and he’d be silly not to take one of them. Even if we tried to match the wages, we can’t match the opportunity. I’ll be amazed if we keep him. Huge shame.. but what a signing he has been.

Wood is a harder call. Not sure he’s going to attract much more exciting/lucrative interest in a real league, but might have put himself in the frame for some fuck-you-money offers from overseas, which would be hard to turn down. 50:50, I think.

I think Nico/Neco has worked hard enough and shown enough to be given a season on the right if Aina leaves. Would just leave us with the issue on the left.

Wood is supposedly attracting interest from Saudi which, well, meh.

    This is where I am.
He’s been brilliant for us, on and off the pitch.
But he’s 28, an established international and this is probably his last chance of a truly big move/signing on fee. He’d be stupid not to take it.
In our favour, he seems very happy Trentside and very close to some of his team-mates like CHO. But equally, i think he heads back to London where his mum and brother are an awful lot as well.

My son's view is he had found a perfect sweet spot at Forest and won't be as good elsewhere.
