Wiki also tells me that he scored direct from a corner against Wolves in April, so not entirely barren on the set-piece-goal front.

He played 37 times for West Ham and scored seven times, so I'm also not sure I'm buying this line that his time in east London was a failure (which seems to be prevalent on the socials, for what they're worth).

And definitely worse first-season showreels than this. Amusingly predictable that Forest make their way on twice in the same game conceding from corners.

Must be a relief he won't have to do that stupid crossed arms/hammers thing.

Maybe he'll adopt some sort of wavy-branches, tree-related thing if he signs. The sort of thing that Cloughie would have loved...

Didn't he once bollock Nigel Jemson for apparently over-celebrating a goal at the Baseball Ground?

Pull a cauliflower out of his sock and take a bite.

Pretty unlikely given he's coming on loan and won't be allowed to play v West Ham.

Fab says he's having a medical so it seems like it's real.

I am bored. Only getting 2 players in on Transfer Deadline day is not Foresty at all. Who's at Benfica that we can nap other than Morata who also plays up front? OOOOOH that Sexy Marco Leonardo that's who. Although he seems more likely to move to Saudi for the filthy lucre we should jump in and offer him our Sexy Witherspoons Wenches. Harvester food and errr the River Trent.

    So Brazil...

    Chicago: Generating some excitement.

    Newcastle trying to buy Elanga.

Not happening. They are twats and it won't happen.

Unless they bung us Isak in return.

Now about that striker? Has the Nketiah deal fallen through? What is it with that bloke?

    Chicago: Knowing the skinny.

Turning down an offer for Elanga might be amongst the better business we have done recently. Here's hoping it holds.

I really like him but, given we paid £15m (I think) a year ago and we've got a fair amount of cover, I think £40m is my price.

What's the sell on deal united has?

It's harder to make that number work when you might not be getting anything back after transfer, signing on, wages, bonus, and sell on.

That's my thinking. The performance of Jota and Sosa against Newcastle would certainly be giving me food for thought if the offer got into silly money territory.

I'm thinking something around trebling our money. Sell on pushes the required price up.

There was talk they wanted him around the same time as the Anderson/Vlachodimos deal. Price was lower then.
