I worked from home today on my corporate Windows 11 machine and I was unrelentingly harrassed via Outlook and Teams by the man to whom I sold my soul without interruption.

No word from the company via whatever magical channels they might choose to contact me on, so I guess I'm going to have to try to get to an office sometime.I mean, it wouldn't be funny* if the bank's fraud systems had temporarily died because they used this Crowdstrike thing, but it wouldn't be the worst plot device ever for a global heist (or even a local one that got out of hand).
*Counterpoint, yeah it would be a bit funny, but not if I have to document how much we would have saved had the systems been working
I note that cloudstrike have an AI enabled product. Clearly a robot attack on humanity.
If we don’t get zombies, I’m not sure I like the idea of unstoppable, nigh-indestructible robots wearing human skin. Don’t think the crossbow will do a great deal.

By the way, for anyone affected the fix is relatively straightforward.
You should be able to enter the Safe Mode through the Blue Screen of Death via the advanced repair options button. Another way is to restart the PC, and hold the F8 key before the system reaches the Windows screen. In either case, you should see a blue screen that lets you troubleshoot. You’ll then need to navigate to "Advanced options" and pick the entry that lets you boot up in safe mode.

Yes, absolutely. Which of course will be the minority.
Corporates will be on the multiple reboot method.... Or wait for your friendly diligent in house IT support. Who no doubt will be absolutely hamming this one up.
Multiple reboot hasn't worked for me yet - and I'm not sure it would work? Does it rely on updating a file before the machine crashes or something?
I can only really imagine central IT will be disseminating boot disks to branches and getting local IT support to roll it out as people show up. So I suppose I'll keep trying the reboot until then.
