Interesting to see the praise for Jota. I thought he was a bit crap. The two centre halves were both on it though. That felt like an important win with what's coming up this month.
That was exhausting. Was completely knackered by the end. But a terrific result and a great clean sheet. Cliche alert: we would have conceded a late equaliser last year and a late equaliser and an even later winner the season before.
I really hope you'll remember to eat these arsebiscuits when he scores his next goal cutting in from the left and walloping on his right. Because it will happen, I will remind you, and you will be needing EXTRA SAUCE.
Nuts. He's had a bad injury. A player has gone on a run of amazing form ahead of him. He's on poor form. But he's not done as a footballer anymore than you're done shitting normally after a bout of diarrhea brought about by licking a dirty window.
Just watched MOTD. Aina can have MOTM for his goal line clearance. Would we have come back from 1 down? Hmm.
Definitely a penalty, even though Jota channelled Luis Suarez by going down like he had been tasered.
What do we make of Jota? His hitherto habit of coming on as a sub to butcher moves from wide had me tempted to christen him 'The Cool Brian Rice'.
Might hold off on that for now. Perhaps that might be a more apt nickname yet for Sosa...
Jota was a pain. His theatrics didn't impress me but he won a penalty. If he had decent studs on we would have scored a couple more but he kept slipping. Yates was showing some mad skilz today and I was very happy for. him as he is starting to come into his own. Having said all that with the exception of Neco who was ropey today the rest of the defence were ace. I though the mad Serb and Murillo did a great job on Liam have a nap. Aina was his usual marauding self without the cock up in him today with that nice goal line clearence. I think I will give my MOM to Milenkovic as he was really superb all game and we didn't even notice him being superb. That is pretty damn good going.
Why? Are you eating humble pie about him being unstoppable or something?
Of course i hope he scores more. But, and i hope this doesn't shatter your analytical models, he hasn't for some weeks now. He's a fantastic player and capable of more.
Sorry didn't mean to be abrasive. I just get irked when people suggest CHO is a one trick pony, because it's no more a trick than can be stopped than taking the ball on the outside and putting a cross in is. I also thought he was decent yesterday, particularly with his passing, and he was really excellent against West Ham and Leicester which was only a couple of games ago. But maybe I misread or misunderstood what you were saying.
Ok, there were a fair chunk of substitutions and a couple of (quick) var checks. But how did the referee get 7 minutes in the second half and only 2 in the first. Suggests he thinks our timewasting was worse than theirs.
