What a crazy winner. Possession changed hands about 4 times in seconds, had the pass to Jota not been intercepted he would've been offside and then there was a Cash mugging.
Now, I'm sure everyone would like to join me in wishing a massive FUCK OFF to Alan Smith, who thought Villa should've had a penalty (ignoring the shirt pull on Anderson first) and should've had a free kick for the Cash mugging. -
They're not wrong that the Anderson pull on Rogers should have been a penalty, and that Anderson's challenge on Cash for the winner should have been a free kick.
What they're ignoring is that the penalty likely wasn't given by VAR because Rogers fouled Anderson in the first place to get past him, and that the ref had been letting clashes like Anderson on Cash go in both directions all afternoon. So he was simply being consistent.
