It's tricky I can find a reason to dislike almost every team, but on balance Wolves losing is the better option.
Pundits on Sky all going for penalty.

Interestingly enough, or not, after ten minutes when I posted about it being a second touch a tackle game, I almost put that it didn't look like wolves were going to get much from the officials today.
That was a joke though...and I don't really have any skin in the game. I don't think we will be finishing ahead of either of these.
It was 100% a penalty. This makes the Refs and VAR bent. How can it not be a penalty? I mean I hate wolves but that was as clear and as nailed on an assault as you can have. The ref also didn't even bother to look at the incident.
What a fucking joke.
BUt since it's wolves... Fcuk them...
Scum Utd and the Premier league are cheats though.
Chicago: Not remotely blind.
Every ex-referee on my radiogram is queuing up to tell Russ that he's wrong tonight.
Which is just an opinion, obviously.
I wonder if referees judgement automatically gets better when they are no longer paid by the 'ship?
Russ is suspended from commenting on this weekend's games:
Conveniently doesn’t stop Scum Utd getting the points though does it?
Since VAR was introduced no club has benefited more from this than Manchester Utd. Surprise surprise.
Fuck off VAR. Although the ref didn’t even blink or pay attention to what happened.
If this continues to happen (which I am sure it will), the premier League will surely lose its legitimacy. Might as well calling it WWF because it will be as fake as the wrestling.
(I am fully aware that wrestling changed it’s moniker many years ago because of the world wildlife fund but I wanted to have the F in for football….. I blame the Americans for ruining the game….).
Chicago: Not a fan of VAR.
Is this actually fact? I'm curious.
Probably not. Who needs facts these days anyway?
I know it's an Arsenal site but....
Manchester Utd top of the VAR decisions....
Chicago: Helpful
That's quite an old article. 2019/2020 season. I think that's the first season it was in use so only part way through the first of 3 completed seasons.
Conclusions. The trend changed. If the trend didn't change man utd must be totally shit not have won the league last year. VAR is shit.
And the stats for last season......

United had more VAR decisions go against them than for them last season, and the top 4 beneficiaries of VAR were the four biggest clubs in the Premier League:
Taking the first one though - the referee would have ruled that goal out without VAR - you could tell he had ceded the decision but was expecting it to be disallowed. So it's oversimplistic.
Sure. I'm just saying that Chic's point about it favouring Man U is wrong. I'm really bored of the "everything is stacked in favour of the big clubs, the refs are all bent" narratives, they're stupid and wrong and in every other walk of life except sports are rightly dismissed as being the preserve of whackadoodle conspiracy nutjobs.
Oh, I agree with that. It's like the "big clubs get more penalties" conspiracy. Yes, it's because they are better and spend more time in the penalty area.
The notion that referees are not human beings, and swayed by emotion, is ridiculous. Pressure does funny things to people, and it manifests itself in lots of ways. I do not believe that there is a conspiracy in favour of big clubs. I do believe that human beings find it harder to make decisions that are likely to be less well received. I do not believe that VAR is doing any sort of job of correcting emotional decisions.
There have been plenty of occasions where manure have committed offences in their penalty area, and not had the correct decisions awarded against them. That's just a fact. It undoubtedly happens, on average (to a greater or lesser extent), in favour of all home clubs. Human beings don't like tens of thousands of people being vile towards them. So they have a tendency to be over sure...and that sways the percentages. It is amplified when there are other factors likely to be at play as a result of size of club...and of course passages of play, and where they occur play a part of that. That nailed on penalty for wolves last night wasn't not given because Manure were in the wolves penalty area more.
