I am beginning to think that Alcohol isn't good for me anymore. Five or six large aperol spritzes Sunday night whilst playing pool in the attic resulted in my Monday being rather unpleasant with the trots. This normally doesn't happen but in the last two weeks this has affected me. Maybe my stomach has decided I should just switch to mushrooms permanently which could affect my pool/snooker game.

    Bugger.

Chicago: Trying to take it easy.

Quit with the excuses. I'll still murder you at pool, any sort of pool, whether you are shitting yourself or not.

    Snooker you have no chance.

    OK, Michael Barrymore.

I win that sort of pool by all the water getting out, when I get in, and Greenpeace attending the event. Not by buggery and murder.

I should like to make clear.

I may be hallucinating as Ingo sent me a t-shirt. Of course I could be wrong because I might be hallucinating. This is all very surreal.

    Chicago: Trusting the process.

I have been missing a front tooth for many years, and wear a denture to fill the hole. Recently my denture broke, so I went to the dentist to get a replacement made. Today he took the final impression with some ridiculously strong molding material, and in pulling it out managed to break the crown off another tooth. So now I have to go back on Monday to have a new crown made and fitted before he can complete the new denture.

    Annoying.

Have you looked at implants? I had a canine tooth done and it is fantastic.

It also cost £4000. So there is that.

I have and I'm going to get round to doing it, but I'm a complete coward when it comes to dental surgery and it is taking me some time to summon up the courage.

It wasn't half as traumatic as having the broken canine extracted

I also had an implant recently (one behind canine) its a long old process but not as invasive as I feared.

As loaf said, not cheap, I have dental insurance which thankfully covered a big bulk of the cost.

r.e. the cost, mine was more as I needed a large bone graft due to the damage when extracting the canine. I think it was cow bone they used, so I am technically part bovine.

(bone graft sounds dramatic, but really it is just like polyfilla they pack into the gap)

41, no fillings. All my teeth.

    Never go to the dentist.

I had, for a number of years, a mole type thing on my upper cheekbone, near my eye. It started to change and get bigger a few years ago. I went to the doctors, and he assured me that it was not a problem, and not to worry about it. So I didn't. Now, it turns out, it has almost completely disappeared, leaving just a tiny blemish of the skin where it once was.

I think that means you are a witch.
