Just for Jim: STI panel also came back clean.

Glad to hear that you did in fact wipe your knob across it.

No knob wiping required, just a blood and piss test. A marked difference from the last time I did an STI test.

I thought my wife liked me. Apparently not. She bought a version of the bed of nails which is meant to help back pain. That's utter bullshit as I lay on it and it hurt! Really hurt. For those people who stay on it for 20 plus minutes, the body is meant to get used to it and help with inflammation and discomfort. A horizontal version of acupuncture so to speak. I can safely say that it didn't get any better and I was on the thing for 30 minutes and I got off it feeling like my back had been scolded by some boiling water. She insists that if I did this every day for two weeks I would get used to it and my body wouldn't feel so tired and stressed. She can fuck the fuck off.

    Chicago: Wimping out.

I'm sure you can console yourself with how much money that must have cost.

Who could possibly have predicted that lying on a bed of nails isn't comfortable?

They're advertising everywhere. Their primary message seems to be "look how painful this is, but we promise it gets better".

10 days into recovery from my full knee replacement.
Saw physio yesterday who said the surgeon had found that the knee was way worse than X-rays had shown when they opened it up, (acl pretty much just hanging there for example).
Said walking on any sort of incline (thanks Sheffield) should have been agony and no way I should have been playing any kind of football (insert your own gags) over the last decade, let alone a month ago. Which was nice.

Are you the first of our merry bunch to have a full knee replacement? I suspect the years of abuse we see a lot of us follow suit. Especially the footballers amongst us. I am still holding on due to lack of playing as I can function fine but football because of four knee surgeries is not much fun anymore (Unless i am watching it)...

I think we should start taking bets on who will be next. Probably either Tricky or I but we have some right cripples on this 'ere forum so it will be a close run contest.

    Chicago: Still intact.

This all sounds quite shit...apart from the being fixed bit. Hope you get well soon!

Despite them telling me about fifteen years ago that I'd need a new one soon, it seems to be fine. In fact my bad knee seems to actually be my good knee, these days. I think it might have grown back. I am not so hopeful about one of my wrists [insert own gag here].

I've been in England for 24 hours and I've already fallen off the bed in a drunken mess and split my head open. Claret everywhere.

I hated it when that used to happen. Spilling wine is stressful. Arf.
