I love the reporting of it being a five year contract. As if it doesn't have break clauses.

The first one being in about 6 weeks when they're relegated.

Been criticism already from the supporters trust and other fan groups over his acceptance of Mason Greenwood at Marseille. Be interesting to see if that develops into any sort of rift given he has a 5 year contract.

I think this is interesting from a branding/perception point of view. Mason Greenwood has not been convicted of anything, and (as far as I know) has a continuing relationship with the partner with whom the rest of the world decided that he was a wrongun with, on the basis of what might have been a 'play' social media post (with awful connotations). Nevertheless, innocent until proven guilty - except where brand value is concerned.

He is also a very good footballer, that England could possibly do with.

Also they just released their accounts and they're not good, their worst ever single year losses and an increasingly weak cash position.

All starting to feel a bit Leicester.

Win the first two games and most of the fan base won’t give a shit.

Yep. The new manager's first game at Sunderland feels huge. That's not an easy fixture so if he can get something there, it sets them up for Brighton at home. A draw at whatever Roker Park is called now, doesn't feel enough, though, and a loss is a huge problem hilarious.

Tottenham is the generally accepted first choice for the (presumed) final relegation place? Then Leed, then WHam? Or is it just "Not Forest, don't care"?

I’d prefer West Ham to Leeds. Too many London clubs and fuck Sullivan and Brady. And Danny Dyer. And Russell Brand and James Corden. And that stupid crossed arms hammer thing they do. And putting London on their badge.

I think Leed and Wet Ham are more likely to struggle next season if they stay up than Spurs so for that reason I favour Tottenham.
