I know you're half joking but he hasn't had a transfer window yet, and took over a squad which was particularly sub-optimal for the style of football which he likes to employ so I'm not surprised he's struggling. I also don't think Potter is a bad manager so just changing the manager was never going to repidly improve the results.
A manager isn't a magic wand.....sure there are some better than others, but a there are two factors that determine success (relative to what is possible). One is the perception in which they are held (assuming they are not a fucking idiot like the aussie bloke), and thus how people react to and follow them. The other is the environment in which they operate. The environment at wet hams (the tools available, the atmosphere and support) is pretty crap, so anyone would struggle. Without having a messianic presence (like a clough) where people want to play for you, and blindly follow you into anything, it's hard to turn water into wine. Wet hams are very watery in the current moment.
He was probably grumpy as he won most games, played decent football, got over 100 points, won the league and the Leicester fans still fucking moaned and booed him.
Didn't Fester nearly shit the bed that season? Having looked nailed on didn't they have a massive slump only for Leed to out-slump them?
I guess I could look it up if I could be arsed. Which I can't. Though I have a vague recollection of watching a televised game of them away at Plymouth which should've been about 10-0 but they contrived to lose. It was a hilarious result.
