    Moyes in negotiations with Everton

I like Moyes he should stay away as the Blue Scouse financial dopers should go down... That would be lovely... (Although Wolves...Fester...)

Chicago: Hoping the dour Scot see's sense.

Sheep finally found the money to axe Warne.
    Wonder who’s next?

SSC obviously appearing in the bookies' early lists. Perhaps he's looking to complete the set locally.

I know I said last year that I expected him to rock up at Derby at some point but I think the Leicester experience rules him out this time around.

They are playing tomorrow. Seems weird to sack him now, rather than earlier in the week or Monday.

I don't want him to go there. Leicester was alright because nobody could succeed there. But Derby he could actually turn around. He should start a little project at Notts Barcodes.

I think the Derby fans would get behind the appointment, too, in a way that the Lestoh lot's rabid brains wouldn't allow.

They hate Forest for sure, but are capable of understanding that someone like Cooper would help them immediately and be a real coup if they could pull it off.

Cooper doesn't need to uproot his family (which appears important to him) and he's near enough to get his Paul Smith clobber at source.

I just don't think Derby could afford Cooper. He's been on PL money at his last two clubs and Derby are skint - even more so after binning Warne.

You'd presume they have already got someone lined up, though.

Pretty sure he's got unfinished business there as well.

Initial thoughts on Popside seem to favour Cooper or Russell Martin.

Dyche for a wildcard entry? Local again and all that....

Rooney would be fucking brilliant, obviously.

Martin was the initial bookies' favourite, now delightfully overtaken by, errr, Stevie G. I'm definitely on Team Gerrard (Martin done a very good job before this season).
As was mentioned, very weird timing the day before a game. Maybe Brighton's cheque for Cashin cleared, so they could finally afford it.
And no announcement about who is taking the game tomorrow, just "the search for Paul’s replacement is underway and there will be no further comment until the position has been filled".

    Not having it.

Cooper had Swansea in the playoffs twice, he took over and finished 15th and 10th.

Taking Southampton to 4th in the championship with a parachute payment is ok but no more.

MkDons to 19th and 13th in league one?

If he tries to implement his style (which you’d assume he would) to Warne squad with 15 games left, they’ll finish last for sure.

Gerrard would be hilarious. Inexperience, big ego, no priors at the level and a truly shit squad of footballers would surely be the most wonderful car crash.

    Fingers crossed.
