When do we expect Cooper to rock up at Derby? Warne has a great record of getting teams into the championship but he also has a great record of taking them straight back down again. Forest and Derby have never been reluctant to employ the others former stars. Matter of time, I reckon.

Tricky! Where’s that bloody Donkey button!?

This post brought to you by the same guy who said he'd enjoy it if Luton and Burnley both won yesterday.

    Not. A. Chance.

He has genuine love for Forest. Derby would have to be pretty much the only club offering him a job, and there's no situation in which that occurs.

I also had a Shady on Luton, Burnley and Forest to lose. Which made a small profit after the ‘cheer me up money’ bet.

I'd guess that when Derby fans were forming a protest group and talking about players going on strike after Clough's resignation, they'd have found it pretty unbelievable that he'd be managing Forest via Leeds inside 15 months.

Cooper is a manager in need of a club. He's not going to get a premier league job, so, unless he wants to go abroad, the best he can hope for is a championship club with parachute payments or one of the "sleeping not really giants". Derby are in that tier with, I guess, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Stoke at a push, Sheff Weds.

Anyone who followed Edwards there is on a hiding to nothing. Not sure how Leeds and/or Southampton will be feeling about their managers if they don't go up.

Former Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is the new manager of the Canadian men's national team. They were apparently rebuffed in their requests to interview Frank Lampard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho before they settled on Marsch.

One of those things is not like the others.

I watched last night. It could have been 10-0. They were terrible.

Hoping West Brom somehow beat Soton tonight and then Leeds in the final but the smart money is on Leeds coming up.

Talking to my Ipswich-supporting mate earlier, he's obviously delighted that Norwich got hammered last night and also hopes Leeds lose in the final. He said that it depends on whether their forward line shows up - if it does, it's too good for the Championship.

I’ve watched Leeds a few times this season and they aren’t as good as the Burnley side that came up last year (I didn’t even think they were great last night - norwich were just awful).
So on that basis, failing heavy investment in the summer, bring ‘em on.

I think Piroe is exactly good enough for the Championship. I don't think he or Bamford are close to Premier League quality.

If they’re not on the phone to SSC already, they’re nuts; perfect kind of project for him

Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta is hot favourite. Norwich’s sporting director joined from Arsenal earlier this year.
