Phil Neville would be perfect for Leeds next year!

    Leicester shortlist, according to Percy:

    Maresca (Pep’s assistant)
    McKenna (Ipswich)
    Smith
    Parker
    Gerrard

Second is probably their best bet. Young, on the rise, great job at Ipswich. Gerrard would be hilarious.

Can't say I know much about the first three, but I can definitely get on board with wishing them Parker - or even better Gerrard.

Smith has already got them relegated once, fingers crossed he can lead them towards a second.

    Oh that Smith.

He always strikes me as a sort of deputy prime minister kind of manager.

    He'd do.

Given a full season I think Dean Smith would do OK. Gerrard or Parker please.

Norwich fans may disagree with you with regards to Smith, Gerrard would be ideal, though I doubt he’d go there given their potential cash flow issues next season.

    Who Parker?

I can only think of Garry Parker.

EDIT: Scott Parker! Bring it on.

Dean Smith - good at Brentford but I tend to think the manager isn't as important a component there as they are at, say, Nottingham Forest; decent for a bit at Villa and got them up, albeit it was somewhat fortuitous and we are talking about Aston Villa in the championship; bad at Norwich; didn't improve Leicester but a bit of a poison challice. Next job seems important in determining whether he's actually any good.

How does Parker still have sufficiently high stock to land a high profile div 2 level gig?

Gerrard and Lampard I can understand (not agree), to a point, but Parker? He must have a lot of chairmen / owner photographs.

He has a 100% success rate in getting teams promoted from the championship. You can argue that he bloody ought to with the teams he inherited but plenty have failed despite having strong squads.

Can’t see any reference to this on Percy’s Twitter?

Rumours I’ve seen are they are pushing for Potter. Which I hope isn’t true.

Yeah weird he hasn't tweeted it but it's here: www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2023/06/05/leicester-city-manager-dean-smith-enzo-maresca-options/

Kind of surprised Smoochie hasn't been 'tipped' for Leicester. I wouldn't want to be forced to wish failure, though.
