Presumably a smokescreen, while they lure in some sort of nathan-jones-a-like. To fit with exactly what stoke deserves. Crap hoofy football in a hellhole.

Potter did actually play for Stoke and is relatively local, so maybe there's something there.

You are overlooking the excellent name for it.

...but no, I'm not buying it. He wants a career, not a dead end.

I know it's been 10 months since he left Chelsea, but surely his stock is still higher than the second division, especially a side just two points above the drop zone.

Can't believe there's anything in this at all.

He might fancy a project like that. He’s now down as not being able to handle a big club so it’s only a struggling PL club that he will get. And his projects take time so that might not appeal.

But even so. You’d think a job abroad might appeal more than Stoke.

A quick google says Teamtalks sources. (Educated guesswork I imagine) suggest Potter has turned down an approach from Stoke.

He's been offered, and turned down, way bigger jobs than stoke.

He's waiting on our result v Spurz, I expect.

I can't believe Spurs will sack Postecoglou just because we've beaten them.

They may when it is 20-0

    Imagine!

I wonder how much extra time a 20-0 victory would give Cooper? Got to keep him until Christmas, at least!

I'd go for more like 16 minutes taking into account the goal celebrations.

It's hard to know what makes "title challenging" spurts so spursy these days. I was blaming late season onset deadlegs (I see that Bayern were panelled 5-1 the other day). But it seems to be their ethos/DNA.

    They will be shitting themselves.

I imagine the extra time will depend on how many of our 20 goals go to VAR.

    What?

Edit - Jim kind of beat me to it. As for Spurs being Spursy weren't their entire defence injured and / or suspended for a period? There was little sign of them being Spursy as they walloped Newcastle last weekend.

I meant how much extra time before Marianakis sacked him.

16 minutes for a 20-0 victory seems harsh.
