    LOL at Everton.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 5:01 p.m.

That's two winnable games we've drawn at home.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 5:01 p.m.

3 unbeaten, but 2 home draws - against Muff and Wolves - especially having led - feels disappointing.
And yes, I know this would've been a dream just a couple of years ago.

Think we would have lost those matches last year. Still not ideal defensively but much better, imho.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 5:06 p.m.

At least we didn't appear shot for the last 15 plus 10.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 5:07 p.m.

Was just about to say the same thing. Nice to see the other team look wobbly for a change.

Aaaaaaargh the nub end of a foot and we would have won that. Woodchuck was chucking wood. Thought it was a very even game. Cunha for them is very dangerous.

I think a penalty for both sides was probably what the outcome should have been. These handball rules are weird.

Last fifteen minutes are much better. Unfortunately Sosa was a little too excited when he came on and made mistakes but I thought we played well and were solid. Still unbeaten until we go to the hellhole that is Anfield. So bugger bum tit wank agajn.

Anderson and MGW were excellent. Wood looked much better too. Thought that was Sangare’s best performance too. Our two wingers looked a little muted. Certainly teams aren’t allowing us to counter attack anymore.

Arse. Draw probably the right result. But since it’s wolves then we were fucking robbed!!!!!

    Chicago: Pragmatic.

I'm pretty sure they do, as evidence I'd like to put forward us progressing to the next round.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 6:04 p.m.

That’s the method used to decide who progresses after the game is drawn.

Anyone got stats for Miguel v Newcastle compared to Sels v Wolves ?

After the comments about Sels distribution, I thought it was very very average today.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 8:42 p.m.

    That's because he's bang average.

  • 31 Aug 2024, 8:59 p.m.

Big help. Got in at 3.08

  • 31 Aug 2024, 9:04 p.m.

He passes like Pirlo compared to Turner. Bang average in the Premier league = decent. He's not as good as Henderson or even the ancient version we had of Keylor Navas. He's done enough over the time he's been here to prove he is several levels above Turner and Vlach. I wouldn't get too carried away by Carlos Miguel after one cocopop cup performance (which was promising but far far from perfect). Should we be aiming for better? Certainly. Is it the best keeper we have got and will he do for now? Most probably and yes.

There are rumours from credible sources we were in for Biscuit Wrists Brice yesterday, and of course we did try for Kelleher with Turner as, ahem, an sweetner. It's pretty crystal clear the club wants to upgrade, and I think we'll see a new keeper added to the mix to challenge or replace Sels in January. Could be one of those two, could be Jose Sa could be someone else. Not sure why we didn't go for Ramsdale or Johnstone but maybe we think they aren't enough of an upgrade to warrant the fee (Johnstone was relatively cheap but clearly Palace thinks he's not at Hendo's level and that's at least what we should be aiming for).

    Would have been 03:20 without!

  • 31 Aug 2024, 9:47 p.m.

We did go for Brice but were quoted a silly amount. Forest were keen but it didn’t work out.

Turner is a better shot stopper but was asked to play the ball out to the defenders. . I have noticed this year the goalkeepers haven’t even bothered to play it short. Just safe. It’s fine. Pity Turner wasn’t told to do that. The poor bastard was hung out to dry because of it and then his confidence was totally shot. Nuno hasn’t even hidden the fact we are not building from the back. So it’s up to our midfield to win the ball or win it back. Something Sangare, Anderson and MGW did well today.

Pretty sure we are on par with the woolly wolvey cunts. I suspect our records will be pretty similar at the end of the season unless we go January mental and get a fabulous striker. Having said that Wood looks Prem Ready and durable. This might be his best season knowing it could be his last.

The football is way better than under Cooper. I suspect having better players than he had at his disposal helps. Still not overally enamored with the subs timing but fair okay Nuno went for it near the end. Was hoping a little sooner but a minor Quibble.

Our player or the year based on early evidence this year looks likely to be going to either the Serb assassin or How many Anderson’s…:

Jota could end up being a cult hero.

    Chicago: Defending the faith.

Where an earth have you pulled this from?
