First club competition of the year. Tee is a couple of hours before kick off, so once again I will miss the entire proceedings. I may not even bother disabling notifications this time, my suspicion is that Luton will go down a couple early and any mild interest will fizzle out. Forest will probably stumble to an uninspired draw.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but I'm going. The last 2 times I've been we've shipped 5 in each game.

Last time I went we lost 5-1 and pretty sure it marked the end of Schteve's tenure. Jeff_Albertson got a call at half-time from Mrs Jeff_Albertson to say that Little Miss Jeff_Albertson #2 had fallen and banged her head, so we had to be reassured it was OK to stay.
Got back to my car at full-time, which was parked in the cricket club nextdoor to Turf Moor, and the fucker wouldn't start. Had to call out the AA and wait an eternity for someone to come out. He realised it couldn't be fixed so booked a tow truck, which took another hour or two to arrive. We had to pass the time inside the cricket club (until it closed for the night) and then back out on the car park - surrounded by what seemed to be a never-ending number of inbred extras from Phoenix Nights, who obviously thought it was all hilarious.
Finally got picked up and set off back down the M6 but the driver informed us he was only permitted to take us as far as Sandbach services. Car taken off the tow truck and we stood around waiting at 3am for the onward lift, which arrived 45 minutes or so after. Dropped off Jeff_Albertson at Chez Jeff_Albertson and it was getting light by the time I got home. Up for work a couple of hours later.
In short, we win on the shit Burnley experience.
