Well Forest are reknowned Slump Busters and the Palarse are struggling. That'll teach Glasner and Nketiah to turn us down and also Henderson for not waiting for us like a lovelorn puppy. Fuckers. They have some attacking talent but miss MIchael Olise and also for some weird reason the Insurance Salesman (That would be Glasner as he looks exactly like the Allstate insurance CEO) doesn't the play the big fucker in the centre anymore. Which is weird and I am happy that he seems to have cocked that up.

The Eagles are in a false position but we need to take advantage of that. Monday night in front of the lights and Elanga and CHO on the wings. C'mon even without MGW we should take it to them. Yates and Anderson and Jota in the midfield? I guess Yates and The Dom with Anderson pushed up wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Having said that and also the account that they don't do well at the City Ground, I am thinking 1-1. Would love it if we went all out and won 3-1 but alas I think a bit of a letdown with a draw.

I still think Taiwo should be unleashed in this game and Wood clean up. I doubt that will happen but one can dream. Jota will come on and do something exciting in this game though so maybe get the goal.

    Chicago: Bird Watching.

Wood was playing in Auckland midweek (poor sod), so getting a teensy bit less time might be wise if possible.

We have enough individual talent to win 2-0. The problem is that without MGW who is 'the glue' to provide the cohesion?
Also since we had the temerity to win at Anfield we've had some 'interesting' decisions. I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, but it's hard not to be cynical about shit decisions when you're one of the have-nots.

Obviously it's Anderson. Unfortunately it seems to not be obvious to Nuno.

Hopefully he learned that 442 is, quite simply, the wrong formation for this team at the moment.
I'd have Jota in front of Yates and Anderson, fwiw, but would have no issue with The Dominguator.

Think it’s a straightforward question of picking between Domingez and Jota. Bet Nuno doesn’t see it that way though.

Jota playing the MGW role would leave us too light deeper in midfield. Has to be Yates, Dominguez and Anderson as a central three then the front three depends on whether we play wide or more narrow.

We're at home, and Palace are struggling. I don't think it would be the worst thing to play Yates and Anderson deeper, with Jota in front of them.

With Marinakis being banned, I was wondering if he'd try and sneak in wearing a Groucho Marx style nose and glasses. You'd think they'd be on dodgy legal ground banning someone from somewhere that he actually owns, but there you go.

Anyway, so long as we don't give Palearse too much respect then we should be ok. At home and against lower teams we should be playing the formation we want, not adapting to the opponents like we did against Fulham, a miserable failure.

12 hours to go and almost nothing in this thread. I'm actually quite excited since I might be able to find a live feed at a civilised time of day.
One again, if we win it's a great start to the season, if we lose it's a bad one.

It would be a disappointing game to lose in the circumstances, however this is still the Premier League and wins are hard-won. Palace might have had a poor start but they are an established side at the level.

Losing would also leave Leicester just a point behind us, meaning that they'd go into Friday's game knowing a win puts them above us. We need that home atmosphere to be as flat and nervy as possible - they'll turn on Cooper if we went ahead.

Could easily have their fans shouting for him to lose his job, with our fans singing in his support.

    Which won't help him.

3-0 up and a few rounds of Steeeeveeee Cooper!! would be funny.

I was trying to think what we'd actually chant for him. "Steve Cooper's, red and white army" I guess? Don't think he ever had any others?

Also enjoying that the match thread has morphed into Cooper Appreciation.

He hates the Leicester, he hates the Derby.
