Enjoyed the Hundred last night at Trent Bridge.

Watching the Hundred on sky (I know). Cardiff (?) looks half empty and sounds really quiet. Not sure what the point is.

Stokes in the squad for the ODI world cup. Have to admire him skipping all the boring series and just making himself available for WC's. Don't think he played many T20 internationals before he won that last time around.

Cricket World Cup starts in front of a somewhat sparse crowd.

Does the Indian public not have much interest in teams that are not India? Or is it just that ticket prices are such that there are a lot of people who’d very much like to be in there but stand fuck all chance of being able to afford it?

Not sure it it's entirely accurate but I was told it's because it's a huge stadium, makes the crowd look smaller. But if India were playing it would be packed.

Fuck me this is dismal.

Fun part is that they are totally done and still have to "play" 4 more games, including India and Australia in the next two.
