It's the going again that worries me.

    'Fail again, fail better'.
I was about to suggest Vladimir and Estragon as a new opening pair, but having double checked it seems that it's a quote from Worstward Ho! rather than Waiting For England To Collapse Feebly (or should that be Waiting For Godotball?)

Quote of the day was from one of the Aussie bowlers, “yeah we knew that if we kept bowling aiming for the drive, they wouldn’t be able to ignore it” I’m paraphrasing but sums up England's ‘attacking’ mentality all too easily

I can't remember who(m) I read (Pringle? Athers?) but someone said 'this isn't the worst England Ashes touring team, but it is the most overrated'.
I do kind of agree, but then again who(m) were the people rating them in general in the first place? The Barmy Army Trumpet Twat? The columnists / pundits / clickbait creators? Was there any vaguely sensible cricketer not representing some sort of Meeja who rated England?

I don't know about knowledgeable cricket commentators, but as a clueless nobody who barely knows the first thing about the game, I've been moaning about this lot since they started with their playground cricket cobblers.

P.S. spare a thought for the cricket administrators who fill their boots with slog and giggle during the summer. Then wonder why we can't produce a long form bowling attack for summer climes, when we only play three day games in the winter.

Oh well. Like a bear shitting in the woods if England collapse in the middle of the night our time did it really happen?
Meanwhile I wonder what ever happened to Tom Harrison - the ECB figure responsible for The Hundred, who was rewarded with something like a million quid and immediately fucked off into the sunset?

It would be interesting to know how many other sports have put out the call "what we need is some cricket knowhow".

I'll start you with: Nottingham Forests - CEO Mark Arthur, cricket administrator.

I'm still trying to work out why someone would be paid a million quid to franchise cricket and rather than run off into the sunset with whatever vices he is into take yet another big job. I wonder if he has any big plans for the 6 Nations? What would be The Hundred equivalent for rugby?

Hard to say, but rather than crisp sponsorship it's likely to be biscuits.

Some cut down version of sevens presumably. What would rugby look like if each team had six players?

So Stokes and Jacks put on over 90 at under 3 an over? What they can achieve when they don’t play like idiots.

I've just got up......half expected England to have knocked them all over the park and set them 250 to win. Just to make me look a mug.

I might follow that Man U fan's lead and not cut my hair until England take an Ashes test to the 5th day.
Not that it will make a lot of difference.

According to Baz, England lost because they over prepared for this test match… he’s reached the stage where he’s just making shit up, fully expecting dark forces to make an appearance after Adelaide..
