Ultimately this is why I can't get behind modern English test cricket. I understand all the bits about going for it, and confidence, but i just can't bear to repeatedly see test batsmen actually celebrate the mind numbingly stupid ways that they and their colleagues get out.

Neil Warnock is commentating on Sky's broadcast of Somerset v Essex.

    No, seriously.

After the excitement of England's win earlier Australia have just bowled W Indies out for 27, the 2nd lowest test score ever after NZ's 26 v England in 1955.

Such a shame it's going to end in front of a minimal crowd tomorrow

Epic match (& series). A tie would have been perfect, but it’s hard to argue that 2-2 isn’t a fair reflection of the series.

Can't we just cancel the crisps and nuts cup and make England and India play another couple of tests?

Seems a bit archaic in this digital age that you can’t return hundred tickets. I bought some ages ago for today but had thought it was for next weeks match. Realised in the week that it wasn’t and had made other plans for today. No chance of returning them even though the match was sold out. And looking at the many empty seats it seems I wasn’t the only one bad at planning. Just seems daft as others who may have wanted to go couldn’t.

However it does help me next week as on realising my error I bought tickets for Saturdays match but the only ones left were cheap restricted view ones. So I’ll be moving us into a non attendees more expensive ones.
