Could not find another thread for this.

I've been offered a ticket for the Ireland Test at Lords on Saturday, accepted before I realised its the same day as FA Cup final!
I'm sure Day 3 of a warm up test will be just as exciting as watching City stuff Manyoo!

Anyway, any other Talkbackers going to Lords?

Yes but for the first two days of the next test.

All out for 172. Broad another 5 for.

Crawley making the inside edge past his stumps his trademark shot. Looking forward to him rolling that one out in the Ashes.

    What do we reckon here?
Play on to put on a big score.
Give them a few overs at end of the day so we can get a couple of wickets before close.
    Bowl them out tomorrow morning.
I'm home in time for FA Cup?

The one time you didn't want a 3pm Saturday kick off.

Bat all day. It's day two.

My thinking may not entirely align with that of the captain and coach.

Scored 175 before lunch, at that rate, they’d be 500 ahead by close. That seems excessive.

    Fair point.

Leach out of the Ashes. No idea who’s next in line - Root and another seamer?

Could potentially be Moeen, Dave will be ecstatic

I know this is a continuing annoyance but he makes the tail look a bit more robust as well. Robinson/Leach/Wood/Anderson was a pretty grim looking 8-11 (and swapping for Broad or Potts doesn't really change that).

Moen at eight, Woakes* at nine. Tail sorted.

    It won't happen.

*94 wickets at 22.63 and a batting average of 35.25 in tests in England.
