Blades were 4.3/1 to beat Leeds at home tonight. Seemed a bit high to me, so I put £5 on. Cashed out for £10 after 20 minutes.

Sky Bet are doing an in game promotion of 50/1 o Meslier scoring a second own goal. Took my fancy, so I've put 20p on it.

Shouldn't this be called the really, really slim shady?

I turned the game on 15 minutes ago and in that time Leeds have been absolutely battering them. Just equalised.

I turned on just as the equaliser went in. Set up nicely.

2 more goals in 3 minutes make the scoreline representative of the game I've been watching.

    £2 on ...

    Palace & Villa to draw
    Brighton & B'muff to draw
    Fulham to beat Wolves
    Brum to beat Orient
    Chelsea to beat Soton

    69/1.

Currently got a £9 cash-out option. Could do with Birmingham scoring against 10-man Orient. Should boost that cash out offer up to £30-40.

Bet down. 4-1 to Palace was a real shock.

I am simultaneously holding the views that if people enjoy sports betting and talking about their sports bets then that is totally fine… and that modern sports betting is destroying lives, devaluing sports themselves, flooding the world with shit, and is profoundly boring.

Really wish twilkky would give us an ‘ignore thread’ button.

Yeah, but Jim's nine quid down, so have a giggle.

I don't really care if betting is destroying lives, people who want to go down a destructive hole will do so with betting, booze, cocaine, sex, or crocheting if they're determined to get themselves hooked on something. Your points about it ruining actual sport and being brain numbingly dull I entirely agree with though.

I'll give the crocheting a miss thanks. I used to do a sort of fantasy thing based on betting odds, on TalkBack. I stopped because betting was becoming quite an evil. And because it was a lot of admin.

The statification of football, for betting purposes, is one of the things that has ruined it.

I don't have a problem with people gambling I have a problem with some gambling companies seeming to target people with a gambling problem by trying to entice them to start gambling more or to start again after they have stopped.

This is definitely something wrong with gambling companies, but not scratching the surface of what's wrong with gambling companies. but what we need is less regulation, eh kids, so that big business can rinse ordinary people and cause hardship and misery.

...and no. It's not about personal choice...it's about protecting people from psycops, and operating in the best interests of society. Remember supermarkets can programme you to buy the things that they want you to, and advertising is a thing because it works. Like disruptive fascist lies and propaganda.
