That actor (Brian Unger) tried to chat up my ex at a book release party for Jon Stewart (he’d just got the Daily Show job, where Unger was a “reporter”).
The other notable part of that night - other than a fun chat with Frank DeCaro, also of TDS - was when Harvey Weinstein showed up. In what, at least to my eyes, was a really cheap-looking suit. Only saw him briefly as he made an entrance where he was simultaneously trying not to be noticed but making sure everyone noticed him. That he was outed as a wrong-un has to be one of the least surprising events of the 21st century.

    Isn't he gay?

Maybe RA had thrown himself fully into Talkback's gay week.

No idea. Mind you, both ex and current wife have commented that I used to occasionally get chatted up by people of both sexes and always remained blissfully unaware until it was pointed out to me later. So it is absolutely likely I may have misread the situation.

Fairly interesting documentary on Munto on Sky.

So watched Pluribus episode one on Apple TV. It's by Vince Gulligan who did the X-Files, Breaking Bad and Better call Saul. Rhea Seehorn. who was Saul's partner in the aforementioned show is a character who is unaffected by a pandemic of sorts and is coming to terms with the world changing. She is miserable and myopic (my kind of gal) in a world suddently cheerful. It's odd. It's not for everyone, but it's not poo. Interesting to see where it goes as it's funny but might be a drama. Hard to classify really.

Task on the other hand is terrific. It is on HBO and is by the creators of Mare Of East Town. It runs in the same ecosystem as the former but is a different show. All the actors are spot on and after a slow beginning really turns into one of the best crime dramas on television up there with the likes of The Wire. Probably some of the best television I have seen in a long while.

Department Q was entertaining but got a bit carried away with itself but i still enjoyed it. The characters were highly watchable and the second season I would assume is going to focus on the what happened at the beginning of the show. half the cast are in Trust. I haven't seen that but have heard it is well worth watching.

After recommendations from her friends, Wifey is not on the Peaky Blinders wagon. I watched the first season without her and emplored her to catch up. She refused because I said it was ace. It might be ten years later but she now on the same page and is watching it, Great stuff. Seems I recognise half the actors from other show. Gangs Of London. Snowpiercer. etc, but not from the show that started their careers. Can't wait to catch up now that i have don't resistance from the homefront. Buuuuuuuurrrrrds. Also that gal from the first season really is lovely isn't she? Not that means anything....

The irish burd. The barmaid. The Operative. There are no others who hold a candle to that sweet looking rose. Interesting that Freddie's wife and Thomas's sister is actually the young Gene in Say Nothing . Very talented actress.

    Yay!

Pity I havent seen the last season because they hid it on Briitbox. A streaming service that is rather obscure.

Better get a free trial before it’s too late.

Up to date on this and really not sure about it. She’s great and it’s really funny in places but it’s a bit frustrating in not really being able to tell what the point is. (Unless it’s just intended as a critique of chatgpt, in which case crack on.)

Television entertainment shouldn’t be a slog. Severance is. Managed to get through episode 4 of season 2 so far. I have come to the conclusion that it is absolute pants.

We are also watching the American Revolution which is a Ken Burns documentary. It is very dry but basically comes to the conclusion that most of the early American pioneers were absolute savages and total cunts and that the British actually weren’t that bad. And this is from an American documentarian. I always knew I lived in a feral place but bloody hell I will never drink Samuel Adama again. What a cunt. It also parallels then and now, with the use of fake news and lying politicians. Turns out yanks have been falling for this shit for years. Bunch of Turnips the lot of them.

I am arming the Indians. They deserve their country back.

The new Netflix supernatural series, Talamasca, has many of its New York and London scenes shit in Manchester's Northern Quarter.
It's quite often New York or Chicago.

The Chair Company is profoundly funny and Profoundly silly. Tim Robinson has created a very simple premise for HBO and made it genius. Top comedy.

Landman is in itself daft as a brush but as entertainment goes it is bloke's TV in a nutshell. Billy Bob Thornton is very funny in this and definitely carries the show but my quest to get Gay week going seems to come to a crushing halt every time i see his character's daughter. Actress. Michelle Randolph. Good lord. I guess I am just as shallow as the rest of Mankind. Must try harder.... Anyway, wifey likes the show too so clearly it is made for the masses so i don't know what I am talking about. Shameless entertainment.

    Chicago: Easily Entertained.

She's very attractive, but Ali Larter is one of the most beautiful women to ever grace our screens.
