Kelly Somers was also presenting Final Score. I think.

Unless that was the other one who's on sometimes. The ex Engerland Wimmin player. Ellen White is it?

I hadn't had wine but I still wasn't really paying attention.

Good to see the MotD team taking Lineker’s absence as an opportunity to be really positive about Forest.

Started Watching Day Of The Jackyl. Pretty good. For some weird reason they had a little dubbing in the show. Not sure Americans are that thick are they? I mean, they did have subtitles for Trainspotting so who the hell knows. Mr and Mrs Smith the series gets better and better and it's surprisingly funny by not trying to be funny. yes Donald Glover is in it, but him playing it straight is actually more amusing that trying to make it humourous.

Breath Of Fire, the documentary about Kundalini Yoga is pretty eye opening. I mean, how many dodgy Indian cults can this country handle? Apparently a lot. Americans love their sex and money cults and now the Women are getting in on it. Pretty amazing that people fall for this shit. My sister in law did this in Hollywood. No wonder she is bonkers....

Lots of best of lists for the year that we are going to touch upon but in order to try and save money I think rather than go out and spend oodles we should just stay at home and live vicariously through others...

Rotten tomatoes released a best 100 of 2024. I haven't even got through 22 or 23 yet. I may have to quit work.

    Chicago: Goggle box addict.

To be fair we have only seen three episodes of Mr & Mrs Smith.

    Chicago: Slow.

Lots of the dialogue is in various European languages (primarily Spanish and German in the early episodes). Were those the dubbed bits maybe?

Just started Squid Game season two.

Watched a recap of the first season on YouTube first as I couldn't recall the finer points of season one.

Actually it seemed like some of the Proverbial cockney and irish was dubbed. Felt disjointed. Hopefully it was just a cock up with the streaming because it was very annoying.

    Chicago: Vocal coach.

Don't remember anything in a strong cockernee or Irish accent.

    That's because it was dubbed*.

Which is an interesting thought about shows being tailored for regional audiences.

There was the Northern Ireland Gun maker and his brother I guess.

I enjoyed Day of the Jackal, helped by superb performances by the main 2 actors, but as with a lot of these things was a couple of episodes too long and dragged a bit on the middle parts.

The new Netflix drama, Missing You, is shit in Manchester and shows off the Cities development rather well. Several places where I drink. In episode 3 they are drinking by Ancoats Marina, which is a funny name if you new the place a couple of decades back. Slightly heroin and nursery. But a fantastic bar called Cask is there now which I have staggered out of. But you can also almost see the warehouse where our office is. Fun fact for the ravers, that's where Sankey Soap used to be, the fore runner of the warehouse project
