    Happy Valley Season 3.

On Netflix the first two seasons the quality of the video wasn’t a problem. The new one on BBC America looks like it’s been filmed in my living room. The definition seems way off. Also the Yorkshire accents somehow sound thicker and more accentuated. Maybe it’s because I have spent too much time over here but it sounds like Leeds Utd relegation depression Yorkshire mumblecore to me.

    Chicago: Southern softy?

Have they renamed it for US audiences, or are you just getting confused? It's Happy Valley over here.

It's mostly filmed in a village my friend lives in - Hebden Bridge. Just North of Leeds I believe.

Yes Happy Valley. Wrote the last post on the fly.

    Chicago: Soz.

I used to live in Leeds in '85-'86, on the rock 'n roll, in a student house in meanwood. Amongst our cheap entertainment was getting a day rover bus ticket, and visiting the sights of West Yorkshire.

Hebden Bridge was at the far extent of the allowed range, and a preferred destination for a day out.

    Lesbian capital of England supposedly.

Hardly surprising if tricky was a regular visitor.

At least I'm not causing a series of train wanks.

    Bus wanks?

Not north of Leeds. West of Halifax. And Mythmomroyd.

Watched the first three episodes of Poker Face. Fun and Natasha Lyonne is always watchable but weirdly formulaic and old-fashioned. Not sure if they mix up the formula in the later episodes because it could get boring pretty quickly.

Poker Face was excellent value with a lovely homage to old-fashioned shows like The Hulk or Columbo or The Fugitive.
The only duff episode for me was the racing one, and the rock band one was my personal gem.

I'm 8 episodes in so far and I agree, I wasn't sure where it was going after the 1st episode but I was pleasantly surprised

We've been watching BBC's Once Upon a Time in Northern Ireland. I found it a bit emotionally gruelling, but it is an exceptional piece of television and a valuable document of the experience of being there.

Finished Ted Lasso. Enjoyed it but it was definitely time to end. Will miss Hannah Waddingham though, the MILFiest MILF that ever MILFed.

Hard agree. Haven't watched all of them.

Yeah, I've been enjoying (if that's the right word) this too. Some brilliant archival footage.
