Season 2 of Reacher is completely mindless but not as good as the first iteration as this time he is literally the Terminator which basically makes any sense of drama moot.

So ultimately vacuous bollocks. Shame, as the cast is good but it is starting to get predictable.

Speaking of the American justice system earlier in this thread American Nightmare on Netflix is another inditement of the police who really are lazy cnuts and are generally not really about justice but wins. Very interesting documentary.

One Day (which I am led to believe was a BBC show) on the other hand is fantastic. It has only just made it over here but so far it really is great. It reminds me of my awkward youth when it comes to girls and shagging and friendship. Very funny.

    Chicago: All over the place.

Yeah, I didn't enjoy this season of Reacher anything like as much as the first. The final episode was particularly ridiculous.

Been watching the second series of Wheel of Time this weekend. I like it, but you probably have to be a fantasy nerd. Might read the books again, but it's a big commitment given the number and size of the things.

True Detective: Night Country was pretty good. Not up to the standard of the first one, but definitely better than the second and third.

Two episodes into season 5 of Fargo. Struggling to understand so far why it has such rave reviews. The overacting is painfully hammy and stagey, Jennifer Jason Leigh in particular is awful. Hoping it gets better from here as I can't see me sitting through another 8 episodes of this.

As you know, because you have previously recognised it, TV series are all about mugging you off for as long as possible, before they get cancelled.

They are and it's quite rare I get through a full season of anything as I almost always lose interest, but this has received all sorts of plaudits and praise. I don't really understand why yet.

The matrixification of the population through psychops and propoganda?

No, I think it's just because lots of people have higher boredom thresholds than me.

I'm sure that's what people set out to do. Watch something boring, to prove that they are duller than even you.

That wasn't any kind of a "look how superior I am" statement. Where other people are watching TV shows I have no interest in I'm playing videogames and shitposting on the internet, I'm not being in any way useful or productive. I'm just finding different ways to fill time until I die.

Maybe because the previous couple of seasons were utter guff, this felt better than it actually was?

I texted Russ because he is a huge fan but he didn't reply. Clearly he does like me so I will share on here. Neuromancer will be an Apple + TV show. This is exciting news if done right. In other news, they also need to pick up the Dredd TV show which seems to be in forever purgatory.

Chicago: Waiting for some sci-fi genius.

You did, my apologies. I was out for dinner with friends at the time and it seemed inappropriate to reply, then I forgot.

Given Russ' comment, I decided to watch S5 of Fargo. Though I found myself thinking I wasn't sure I had finished S4, so I first re-watched that. It was good. I'm now on S05E3. Took me a little while to place Juno whatsherface from Ted Lasso. Impressive Canadian accent and general acting. I didn't think she had that in her. Don Draper also has just made an entrance as a cowboy. Another excellent actor. The story is decent too so far. No complaints here.
