Binged my way through S2 of The Pitt. It's as brilliant as the first season, they very wisely didn't try and repeat the high adrenaline story arc of the first (although it has lots of incredibly tense events) but they do an even better job of dealing head on with current issues without being preachy. The characters are superbly written and acted, with none of the schmaltz or soap opera that medical dramas all seem to end up being afflicted with. Top notch telly.

I've not watched it. Just serms a bit American Casualty and I've not watched that for about 25 years or more.

This is quite a broad specification

70 Up, the final part of the documentary series that began with 7 Up, is outstanding TV. A social history of the last 60 odd years, I found it deeply moving. If you haven’t seen it in its entirety, every episode since 1963 is on ITV X.

It's very disappointing that Jim Caveziel turned out to be such a massive cunt, because I recently started watching Person Of Interest and he's an excellent action hero.

One of my favourite shows. It just keeps getting better too.
But he's a total dick which also limits my enjoyment of his excellent Count of Monte Cristo.

Anecdote time: My wife sang in the choir at Disney Candlelight (Xmas hymns with a celeb narrator of the Xmas story) for a few years.

One year, Caviezel was the celeb. She said he was weird as all hell and kept making strange jokes (the choirs are mostly high school kids). This was not that long after Passion of the Christ.

“I just flew here, or should I say ‘came down off the cross’…”

Gary Sinise was supposed to be ace, on the other hand, and would salute any time the kids yelled “Lieutenant Dan!”

Last year, she took her students and the celeb was Brie Larson, who was also really nice and talked to the kids.
