Telly thread

Really liked the end of the latest Doctor Who episode. I vaguely recall that character and it's a nice move. Certainly better than defaulting to the Daleks, the Master or the Cybermen.

So I know there were a lot of complaints about the last episode of Day of The Jackyl and rightly so. All of a sudden characters became extremely dumb. I didn't know what the point of it all was. Eddie Redmayne is great as the Jackyl and of course he is the star but did it have to turn into a latter season of Dexter where everyone is dumb and only the arch criminal is remotely intelligent. Started so well and then devolved into slightly pointless. Maybe they thought half way through that some of the characters were annoying and pointless and they would make them dumb enough to be eliminated. Stylishly shot and good to start but alas it all came crashing apart when they tried to stretch it out. Blah.

The 100 Foot wave is back and that is nice but I am wondering if it was shot in 22/23 why did it take so long? HBO having second thoughts? Anyway, there is nothing new but I do like the characters involved and that keeps me interested.

Still on a revolving door of about 16 shows. Since work is so involved and long we manage 1 a night. Wifey is also difficult and don't want to commit to some of them. Well fuck that. Toughen up Princess. We are going to finish all of them!

Felt like they decided late on that Jackal was going to get a second series and had to rewrite or reshoot the last episode as a result.

And they decided that calling it "The Day Of Someone Other Than The Jackal" was bad for the brand.

The Thunderbirds documentary on Netflix is great. Very wholesome viewing and spectacular aerial footage.

Forest's season was very much like Game of Thrones, in that it started with low expectations which were quickly exceeded, continued to get more surprising and better, then had a terrible ending which is what everyone remembers about it.

I'm not saying who the tits were.

I wasn't aware there was a 4th Thunderbirds. Obviously I am aware of Thunderbird 4. Looks decent though, jets* are cool.

I still don't know what this is about. Planes I assume? Never heard of a Thunderbird plane.

The Thunderbirds are the USAF display team, the equivalent of the Red Arrows.

A bit like the Red Arrows. But less red and more mercan.
