The Barlow and McParland months were fun.

Anything would've been fun after the Megson era.

Second series of SAS Rogue Heros has appeared on BBC iPlayer. Really enjoyed the first one.

I got the FA semi wrong (said the team we beat in the QF) and the Brum one wrong (didn't listen fully, blurted out the name of another player when I heard 'Birmingham').

Think mentioning Birmingham in the second one was a deliberate misdirect. But I knew which of them was FWA player of the year.

I got about 6 right. Some a bit before my time really.

I couldn't get Anderlecht into my head and said Auxerre instead even though I knew it was wrong.
I didn't know the Jemson answer. Or who we beat in the semi final.

Helps that I was at the last two games. Did think it was more impressive for Forde to get them all when he was 11 at the end of the period in question. (He’ll have met Jemson, which means he’ll have been walked through that goal in excruciating detail.)

I watched the FA Cup semi-final with my dad at my best mates house, along with his dad who was a proper old school alcoholic. Vodka bottles everywhere, etc. He got double extra mega pissed for the final and started ripping his decorations down when the own goal went in. Unsurprisingly he's dead now.

I got them all except Jemo.

I also did this and presumably shouted the same name.

That semi is still the only ‘big’ game I’ve ever attended that presented zero jeopardy and was a complete walk in the park from start to finish. Helped of course by the early sending off (Tony gayle?? Can’t remember) but we had them nailed on from the first whistle. Loved it.

Same. Plus i didn't even know that's where we got him from (although "from whence he came" works particularly well in this case). Also wouldn't have guessed he played more games for them than us.

Mrs. Seán and I decided to peruse iPlayer for the first time in yonks and chanced upon 'Ludwig'.

A rather silly yet strangely watchable comedy mystery drama thing with David Webb Mitchell playing the titular character, an introverted agoraphobic puzzle master genius who has to impersonate his missing senior police detective identical twin brother in order to solve the mystery of what has happened to his aforementioned brother. With HILARIOUS etc.

Anyway, in another example of Talkback bleeding into real life, I found myself idley thinking "bet Dave Rave's all over this".

Very much my cup of tea. Is there a Nottingham crime show? The Grace one in Brighton is the one I've felt closest to in the UK.

Never seen it but I believe Sherwood qualifies. Not cosy from what I understand though.

Vicky McClure (of course) was in Without Sin a couple of years ago on ITVX.

Sherwood has two series on BBC iPlayer, set in North Notts.

Landscapers (HBO/Sky) is based on a real-life murder investigation from Mansfield in the 80s.

Sherwood S1 was really good as someone who lived in a small Notts village (Low Marnham). But not a fun show, no.
