Don’t know if we have done this before. I have need to move from paper to digital for work purposes.

Does anyone have experience or opinion on the various digital notebooks out there? I am coming down to Remarkable2 or Supernote Nomad.

    Thanks in advance.

I have a remarkable2 and love it. So much better any other tablet and pen/pencil combination I have tried previously.

The ability to create your own filing structure helps significantly also so light that it is ideal for when traveling. I’ve found I’m more organized as a consequence and able to pull information when needed quicker than I could before which has been a real bonus.

Not sure how it would cope with a Doc’s handwriting though..

Thanks Mus. Will get one of those.

Also found a tech subject on which talkback has no opinion.

I have never heard of those before - but it looks great - so effectively I can get rid of my paper notebooks and just use that for client notes and call notes?

I am curious as to what is precipitating Guru's sudden requirement to move away from quill and parchment.

Exactly, also you can sync your notes with OneDrive if you’re in the Office 365 echo system or similar platforms.

I had an issue with the charging port on mine and they also replaced it free of charge.

Do they convert the written notes into typing in a word doc or similar?

I haven’t tried, but they claim to yes.

It's the best you can say about Microsoft stuff quite often: it's shit, but they replaced it.

It’s not terribly interesting but as I am now older and wiser, I have a combination of exec, non-exec and investment roles. There are only so many bits of parchment one can carry around before it gets tedious.

What’s your digital notetaking instrument of choice? I’m assuming you’ve knocked something up a broken Bic biro and an old etch-a-sketch on an Ubuntu platform?

I too have a reMarkable 2 and would recommend it without reservation; I use it every day at work. Just remember what it is designed to be - a digital notebook, in which role it is exceptional; just don’t expect it to be a tablet replacement, cos it ain’t
