Can’t beat a Maxwell House then a shite!
Office day today so a 6.30am start - much prefer the WFH days which I'm lucky enough to be able to do most often.
Just glad it's not the 5am starts I had for work in my late 20s. Hated getting up for those, but was offset by the 3pm cut on the other side.
I'm going through an annoying phase of waking in the night several times and finding it hard to go back to sleep. Went to bed at 11, was still awake gone midnight, woke at 1.30 and 4 and then 7 when Gary cat decided to jump on the bed, get under the duvet and curl up in my arm. He stayed about an hour and then I dozed until 10.
I went to bed at 8.30 last night because I was tired from going to match the previous evening.
I've long since been a staunch advocate of having a solid lie in the night before.
Also struggling with multiple wake ups during the night. 2:15 to about 3:45 was the worst. Woke up at 5 feeling like crap on and off again. Couldn’t face work.
Hoping a doctor visit (urgent care, because ‘murica) can shed some light/antibiotics on this particularly viral feeling (fatigue, dizziness, sinus pressure).
I lay awake for what seemed like half the night as well. It might be a Talkback thing of course, but I’ve noticed that I sleep a lot worse when I’ve had a drink (half bottle plus a bit last night) than when I don’t. This never happened when I was younger.
This is me also. It's frustrating to the point that I rarely drink these days. Some of it explained here...
I tend to sleep well after booze. It's the following night I struggle. It's like my body is saying 'you medicated me to sleep with alcohol last night and tonight you want me to do it by myself? Bugger off'.
Though I'm assuming my current struggles are linked to having come off my anti-depressants. Having said that it's been a month now.
I sleep equally well whether I've had a drink or not, but even a couple the night before leave me waking up groggy and with a headache.
This is me too. I’m almost at the point of not wanting to go for a beer anymore because I’ll end up awake half the night. Annoying.
This sounds bad news for me. Sort yourself out.
That’s it, think of yourself.
Mine’s a lime and soda. Half.
Managed to sleep through my 5.15 alarm and woke up at 5.28. In for 5.50, sorted out morning shift then nipped to the gym. Hungry now.
Thanks to having 'some' wine last night I slept through the night for the first time in ages. Won't be able to sleep tonight of course, but I'll deal with that later.
